Located about eight miles from Downtown San Diego, Mission Beach exemplifies the carefree, Southern California lifestyle. The Mission Beach boardwalk stretches along the coast of the neighborhood, measuring just over a mile. Belmont Park, an amusement park on the north end of town, serves as a lively gathering place for locals and tourists alike. Nearby, Mission Beach Park offers a large grassy space beside the beach boardwalk. There are several other popular green spaces along the bay like Ventura Cove Park. Some of the most popular spots in town include Sandbar Sports Grill, an oceanside spot for brews and pub grub, and Beachcomber, a longstanding bar just blocks from the sand. Mission Bay is just seven miles northwest of Downtown San Diego, and along the way, you’ll pass the San Diego International Airport.
