The small city of Madras is a fairly secluded community in central Oregon, about forty miles up Highway 97 from Bend on the edge of the Warm Springs Reservation. Home to around 7,000 people, Madras exhibits a cozy small-town atmosphere, with a modest Downtown district and public parks within easy walking distance of most neighborhoods. Perhaps the city’s most unique feature is the Erickson Aircraft Collection, a host of operational historic aircraft available for public viewing on the north end of town.
