Peaceful Family-Friendly Convenient Shopping Restaurants Affordable Events

Kearney is a largely residential city located about 30 minutes north of Kansas City. With plenty of space and a relatively low cost of living, this is a fantastic area for anyone who commutes into KC for work or those who just enjoy a more laidback locale without being too far from the amenities of a metropolitan area. There is a great number of shopping centers, strip malls, restaurants both local and chain, and convenient stores scattered around the bulk of Kearney’s landscape. Residents can also kick back at Jesse James Park or Mack Porter Park in the northern region of the city.

Single-family homes make up the bulk of the rental market here, but there are also charming apartment complexes near the city center. Annual events like Jesse James Festival and the Fourth of July celebration bring the community together, and there’s a number of great schools that serve the area.
