Situated in Collier County, Immokalee is a small agricultural town whose name translates to “My Home” in the Mikasuki language spoken by the Seminole and Miccosukee tribes in southern Florida.
Immokalee produces an array of crops, including the overwhelming majority of the nation’s tomatoes during the winter months. As a result of its rich agriculture industry, Immokalee contains an exceptional local farmer’s market.
