Grant-Valkaria, sometimes still referred to as simply “Grant,” is one of the newest towns in Brevard County. Officially incorporated in 2006, Grant-Valkaria is a town comprised of two formerly unincorporated communities: Grant and Valkaria. Formalities aside, the town retains a secluded atmosphere, due to its vast stretches of open space and its pervasive natural beauty alongside the Indian River Lagoon.
Although the town is largely rural, Grant-Valkaria boasts an array of modern amenities along U.S. 1, including fresh seafood restaurants, marine shops, and antique malls. Fisherman’s Landing Park is also located off of U.S. 1, providing the community with great opportunities for fishing and boating on the Indian River. The town is also convenient to outdoor destinations like Saint Sebastian River State Park and numerous Atlantic Coast beaches. Direct access to I-95 connects Grant-Valkaria to nearby Palm Bay, Melbourne, and beyond.
