Adjacent to Downtown Camden, the Gateway neighborhood borders Cooper River. Farnham Park, a riverside park featuring the Camden Greenway walking trail and a splash pad, is on the southeast side of Gateway. Cross the Delaware River to the east and you’ll be in Downtown Philadelphia – a journey of just four miles. Here, you can see the Liberty Bell, visit the National Constitution Center, shop at the Reading Terminal Market, and stroll along the Independence Mall. If you don’t want to commute from your apartment into the city, Gateway is home to several businesses, including the Campbell’s Soup Company. Rutgers University-Camden is located directly northwest of Gateway, and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and Cooper Hospital are on the west side of the neighborhood. You’ll have a variety of options for getting around the region, with nearby I-676 and the PATCO Speedline Transit Station located in the neighborhood.
