Urban Public Transportation Historic

Frankford is one of Philadelphia’s most historic, influential neighborhoods. Originally a large milling area, Frankford showcases many historic sites, including Enoch Edwards' house, where Thomas Jefferson and other Revolutionary leaders celebrated after the passage of the Declaration of Independence. Today, this historic urban neighborhood is known for a tight-knit community with plenty of parks and school options for families. Housing options in Frankford include everything from affordable rowhomes to upscale apartments available for rent. Stores and authentic restaurants are located along Frankford Street, but many residents travel outside of the neighborhood for more options. Great for renters who work or go to school in the city, Frankford has two subway stations and many SEPTA buses also service the neighborhood. This neighborhood works well for those who want to live inside the city, but also desire a bit of a suburban atmosphere. Center City is only a 25-minute drive away from Frankford.

If you love heroin and the colorful characters and drifters that go along with it, this is your place. I would never drive through here with my children in the car, too many things to explain.

i grew up in frankford, the area was safe back in the 90's but now it has gone down tremendously. there are a lot of abandoned house, prostitution & crime. if i had the money to move i would. it is no longer family friendly.

Living in Philadelphia was one of the best experiences I have had by far. There was also something to do and new things to get involved in. The city carries a lot of love with it.
