FOPO" is funky when you need that, but also a caring and aware community with good resources for raising young kids. There are lots of parks and good community organizations. Foster itself offers a walking shopping district with several of the city's best food cart pods, fresh bagels, a fantastic local grocery. At the same time, there are many people living on the street, and plenty of boarded up businesses/homes in the area, which has taken additional hits due to economic effects of COVID.
