Located between the Tillamook State Forest and Mount Hood National Forest, Far West Wilsonville enjoys lush woodlands and green meadows. The neighborhood encompasses wide open spaces and farmland, allowing renters plenty of outdoor activities from kayaking down the Willamette River to hiking through Graham Oaks Nature Park. For a little more intense communion with nature, locals head 40 miles to the east to the Mount Hood National Forest, which covers more than a million acres with 170 recreation sites and a handful of lakes for camping, horseback riding, hiking, and boating. After a full weekend spent outdoors, residents head four miles west to the downtown area where they enjoy some shopping or annual events at the Murase Plaza. They also like to relax at Oswego Grill and McMenamins Wilsonville Old Church and Pub for a relaxing meal.
