Downtown Greensboro is at once charming and historic and hip and trendy. Its historic architecture lining wide sidewalks offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, art studios, and theaters; its position just a few blocks east of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Greensboro College adds a youthful energy to the neighborhood. Residents and visitors can take a gourmet food tour or a history and haunts tour. They can explore the Blandwood Mansion or the Greensboro History Museum. They can catch a performance at the Carolina Theatre or the Community Theatre of Greensboro.
For a touch of the unique, Downtown Greensboro offers a variety of public art and murals. You may notice an abundance of coffee cup sculptures -- these were created to celebrate the sit-in movement of the 1960s. The eight bronze sculptures are located throughout the downtown area, and a self-guided walking tour takes visitors to all of them. The neighborhood is home to several parks, including the Downtown Greenway and Center City Park.

It's very nice. Great restaurants and grocery stores and pharmacies nearby. Can walk places easily and can drive places relatively easily. Neighbors could be nicer and more welcoming. Not a great sense of community.
