Douglaston has been my home for the past 22 years. It is a safe, diverse, and clean suburban area that is an amazing place to raise a family. Schools are great and you can't beat the accessibility to Manhattan as well as long island. Douglaston is Queens' hidden gem and I would recommend living here to anyone.

The occasional crime does occur but they're usually small crimes. It is very safe to walk alone.
