The first settlers in the Delhi Hills area arrived in 1788, but the real surge in growth came in 1817 when the Ohio legislature passed a bill that named the area Del High, which explains today's pronunciation. Farms grew up in Delhi Township along with over 60 greenhouses, helping to earn the area the designation of "The Floral Paradise of Ohio".

The Delhi Skirt Game, a Chicago-style softball game, is a competition between the township's fire and police departments with male participants playing in drag. Played the first Friday in August at Delhi Park, this game also features live music, games, concessions and fireworks.

Bordered on the north by Delhi Pike, which offers a variety of fast food and chain restaurants, Delhi Hills proper houses few restaurants but a local chain, Wild Mike's, serves as a local favorite. This sports bar specializes in wings, and regulars rave about its chunky blue cheese dressing and the local beers available on tap. Dine in at this lively spot, or use the carry-out option if you want your meal to go.

Due to its small size and mainly residential demographic, walking from place to place in Delhi Hills proves a rewarding pursuit. However, most residents opt to drive as nearby conveniences lie scattered on busy thoroughfares such as Delhi Pike and Glenway Avenue.

West Fest in nearby Cheviot serves as the largest street festival on Cincinnati's west side. Generally held in late June on a Saturday and Sunday, this street fest boasts live music on several stages, local food vendors, beer gardens and a car show. This family-friendly festival also features a special kid zone to entertain the young ones as well as a craft tent.

Remke Market and Aldi reside within the Delhi Hills limits, while a nearby Kroger on Delhi Pike provides shoppers with a third alternative for groceries. Findlay Market in the Over the Rhine section of Cincinnati features a large year-round farmer's market. Complete with an indoor market and outdoor stands April through October, this huge farmer's market feels more like a small village, with vendors and small stores selling local produce, flowers, meats, cheeses, crafts, and more.
