On Independence Day, the community gets together for an annual Fourth of July celebration, complete with an old-fashioned parade. Since 1962, Coulwood West families have headed for the community pool on Coulwood Drive to cool off in the summer. Coulwood Park makes a great destination for a hike and a picnic, or you can bring your bat and ball to the batting cage and lighted baseball fields.
