I would love to see more diversity but overall it is a great community to live and go to school. I have lived here since attending old dominion university and don't have any complaints.

I've lived in Colonial Place since 1994. It's a beautiful old neighborhood surrounded by water. Occasionally, there is high flooding, but there seems to be work on the current seawall at the riverfront.

While you always hear about stuff happening on the news nothing has ever happened to me.

A weekend can be spent either at the beach or couple hours drive for a retreat into a mountain cabin.
