Mix contemporary lifestyle with historic charm in Colesville, Maryland. This relaxed, cozy area of Montgomery County has a long history, dating back to 1714. It was labeled an "Easy Purchase," orchestrated by Lord Baltimore, Cecil Calvert. As you explore Colesville, be sure to visit Milimar, the oldest house in the neighborhood. Milimar was built in 1790 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Randolph Road, towards the south of Colesville, you'll find the largest concentration of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. This area is a good choice for renting an apartment, this way if you need a cup of sugar you can run to the grocery store down the road. Giant Food serves as the major grocery store. Subway, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Greek Village, and Ledo Pizza, among others, provide restaurant choices here.

Most people come here thinking its nice. It really isn't. Lots of drug addicts and abusers take place around night time. To much people have weapons on them. My friend got robbed the other day even though he was walking to the store.

Colesville is a great location to live; it is generally safe, has a nice combination of nature activities with more city-like aspects such as restaurants and grocery stores, and decent public schools nearby. The only major downside is it is quite a commute to get to more major city areas so it can be a bit boring at times.
