Very small town that does not have much in itself, but is right next door to wonderful resources like the campus of UMD and the Nation's capital.

Grew up her since the 1950's. It has changed drastically since then. Back then we were like living in Mayberry everybody knew everybody and watched out for everybody. Now....people from all over are here. Lots of property rentals with 3 - 5 cars parked on the streets. You don't know who is here or who isn't. Sad but nothing stays the same.

So far my experience living in Berwyn Heights, Md has been good. The area seems to be VERY family friendly and VERY quiet and close to many residential areas such as Greenbelt, College park, and Riverdale. Berwyn Heights itself is not too far from washington DC which is a plus and the college park metro station is also very close to the town which is also a plus.

Berwyn Heights is a very friendly and family oriented diverse community, with programs for everyone. While every neighborhood has it's positives and negatives, one of the many things I would like to change is the increase in crime.
