The Avalon neighborhood is on the east side of Miramar, about two miles from downtown. Avalon stretches from Pembroke Road south to Ronald Reagan Turnpike, with Palm Avenue running along the east side. The west side follows Hiatus Road to Red Road. Miramar is part of the Miami metro area, located about 20 miles northwest of Downtown Miami.
Avalon features a variety of beautifully-designed condo and apartment communities, many set along lakes. Residents can go to the beach to enjoy a day of surf and sun, or head to Miami to enjoy the sites and nightlife. Closer to home, they can work out at Ansin Sports Complex, which includes a basketball court and running tracks. Popular neighborhood restaurants include La Famiglia Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, Barbican Square, and Che Pibe Argentinian Grill.
