Situated in western Nebraska, Alliance is best known for being the home of Carhenge, an artistic homage to Stonehenge made of cars. Founded in 1888, Alliance honors its storied past with extensive exhibits at the Sallows Military Museum and Alliance Knight Museum, in addition to maintaining an array of historic buildings along Box Butte Avenue.
