Alamedan Valley Albuquerque, NM

A tranquil locale along the Rio Grande

Scenic Riverside Quiet

About 15 minutes north of Downtown Albuquerque, the shady cottonwood trees and lush green fields of the Alamedan Valley make it easy to forget that you're living in the desert. Bordered to the west by the Rio Grande River, Alamedan Valley features an extensive network of bike trails and hiking paths. The semi-rural neighborhood consists largely of small farms, in addition to single-family houses and townhomes available for rent, many of which are made from old-fashioned adobe for an authentic New Mexico look.

Despite the old-fashioned feel, a growing number of boutique stores and art galleries are springing up along 4th Street, which runs through the heart of the neighborhood. Additional shopping and dining options abound at the nearby Cottonwood Mall. Commuting is a breeze with convenience to Interstate 25.
