As the seat of Cook County, Adel is a small Georgia town that packs a lot of amenities into just over eight square miles. There’s seafood and barbecue to be had on South Hutchinson Ave., and plenty of shopping on the west side. Adel Outfitters keeps residents stocked up for any outdoor activity, specifically fishing and kayaking at Reed Bingham State Park to the west.
Craftsman homes with sprawling porches surround the city center, and there are new townhome developments going up on the east side of the city. I-75 is the main thoroughfare for Adel and the surrounding area, and with the Florida border just 40 minutes south, a beach vacation just became more of a reality.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
