Camelot Apartments

My roommate and I went into apartment hunting with many desired features of an apartment. When we saw Camelot, a lot of pieces fell into place. Great amenities, personable people, and newly refurbished spaces. All at a reasonable price. These were all things we failed to see when looking at other places. After moving in, we enjoyed the space and the comfort of the apartment. However, there were a few issues. We had an issue amending the lease to ensure everything on paper was what management told us. Also, getting a hold of maintenance was another issue. When we could reach them, they quickly resolved any issue we had. However, when our A/C was not working, it took a while to get it up and running in the hot Florida summer. Our biggest issue, however, was when our roof started to leak during a major hurricane. We still aren't sure if this issue has been resolved, but management has told us it was. But we still see very small leaks occasionally when it rains a little harder. Working with the management to get things done has been good. The staff is very nice and understanding, and they aim to get solutions to any of our problems. Some resolutions have been slower due to communication or staffing issues (there were some times when I would try and reach someone in the office, and they would not be there, despite their sign saying open), but we ultimately got solutions. We love the apartment we're in. Camelot also has nice amenities like a pool, smart home features, a grill, and more. We appreciate the staff as well (s/o Melanie and Maine). And we hope to resign soon!

Amazing experience! I LOVED the location - it's unbeatable being so close to campus! GREAT MANAGEMENT! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient place to call home!

I recently had the pleasure of residing at Camelot, and I must say, it has been an exceptional experience. This apartment complex offers a wide range of modern amenities that have truly enhanced my living experience. One of the standout features of this apartment complex is its redesigned clubhouse. The moment you step inside, you are greeted with a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere. The addition of coworking areas within the clubhouse is a brilliant touch, providing a convenient space for those who work or study from home. The resort-like pool at Camelot is simply outstanding. The fire pit and outdoor grilling area add a touch of luxury and provide opportunities for social gatherings and enjoyable evenings with friends and neighbors. They have really awesome smart thermostats and door locks. The well-maintained and spacious dog park area, providing a great space for pets and pet owners to socialize and exercise is great! Convenient proximity to the campus, making it easy for students to commute. There is a brand new 24-hour fitness center, providing residents with the flexibility to exercise at any time that suits their schedule. Would definitely recommend Camelot!

Living at Camelot Apartments has been a game-changer for me! Wasn’t excited about leaving Austin Texas and moving to Florida for work, but finding this community has made the move easier. All the recent updates and smart home features were a huge selling point, especially the smart locks. I’ve got to say, the outdoor grilling area has been a hit among my friends that have been visiting my new apartment, turning our weekend barbecues into memorable events. It’s also been a great way to meet my neighbors. The pool area feels like it’s straight out of a resort, and Iove lounging there after a long day’s work. Plus, the modern vibes of the clubhouse make it the perfect spot for both relaxation and some focused work. Camelot has truly elevated apartment living to a whole new level. Proud to call this place home!

I love the new look and feel of the community. The clubhouse and pool look great after being redone. I also love the new hangout area with grill and fire pit in the courtyard. My dog loves the freedom of the dog park, and the smart apartment features let me open and close my door with my phone. I love this place!

These people take everything personally and they do EVERYTHING possible to avoid fixing ANY PROBLEMS. the pool is currently full of algae and bugs and the trafficking and crime rate here is very high. Loud neighbors yelling across the pool like they own the complex at night. Everything falls apart here. EVERYTHING. Australia level bugs and spiders, and the fun of asking for them to do anything about broken things because they are slumlords. Maintenance is a joke and they will lie straight to your face like you're dumb. They told me A/C is working when my thermostat was set on 75 and current temp 86 WHEN THEY LOOKED AT IT. My building has rotting wood EVERYWHERE and I think the staircase to get up to my apartment would collapse any day now. At least they are painting over it to cover up the rotting!

During my attempt to apply/move in to this apartment complex. I experienced the worst communication efforts, I called multiple times and left many messages to receive zero call backs. When we finally went up and had a tour in person it was nice, they said they would call when they had an answer to our question; they did not. I tried to get questions answered again via phone and email and received no response. When I went in person I was told the manager was away at work and would call me back when they return. I was not called back, when I called them I was told that another person was now ahead of me for the apartment and all the other apartments were now taken. It was beyond frustrating to have put so much effort towards moving in here and received 0 effort from the staff. 0/100 no excuses terrible customer service

Worst experience renting in Gainesville due to the new owners and new management they’re always on break never in the office. I had conversations with Luz over the phone and every girl at the office about renewing my lease .. they never sent me the paperwork and they also offered me month to month. August came around and they kicked me out of my apartment because someone else signed a lease to my apartment unit they told me I could keep every time I went to the office to ask if I could renew I never got any paperwork don’t believe when they say ” it’s coming to your email”. Also had horrible plumbing issues while living there the appliances don’t work. There are ants and roaches everywhere it’s infested with bugs. The walls are disgusting where they meet the ceiling there’s bugs coming out of every hole in the house because they try to fumigate other units and they come into yours .The AC systems are old and run all day. Electricity is expensive and I was in a renovated unit they don’t have cable outlets in their rooms. My kitchen and bathroom flooded a few times and they took 3 days to get someone to come out and look at it. I also went without a working toilet for 2 weeks and they told me to use the club house bathroom while they could fix it . They’re also renovating the pool thru the summer time which makes no sense

Brenda treats you horribly after she gets you to sign! My bedroom flooded with sewage 3 times. I had to throw away half of my furniture. The place is full of cockroaches and snakes. You even find insects in your laundry if you use the laundry room! There water pressure is so low I had to shower at gyms or friends house. Nothing is right in that complex. No matter how much I cleaned up before running away, they charged me almost all my security deposit.

AWFUL, can not imagine worse. If possible, I would say "-10 stars". By far the worst among many places I have been: 1) Extra totally pointless charges after moving out. 2) Charging the rent for the fraction of the last (first) month while the tenant is forced to move out (in) earlier (later). 3) Rude, irresponsible, unresponsive, lazy, and late staff and management. 4) Hard to cool/warm the apartment in Summer/Winter (So a crazy high electricity bill). 5) Old and malfunctioning piping and other facilities.

4 starts for service,location, and price. Management is friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. Grounds are always kept up and maintenance is very quick to respond. The location is the best, across the street is a gym,grocery store, Ace hardware, three restaurants and more. The campus is a 30min walk, less than a 10 min bike ride. Appliances are a bit out dated and it is a bit older building, this is the only reason take one star away.

My husband and I are both college students( both 20 years old) and we decided to live here because its a great location. Close enough to campus and to the rest of the town as well. Also they accept our two dogs!( for a 250 fee) HOWEVER, i would not recommend living here to anyone unless you really really must. When they call it camelot apts its because it will really feels like you're living in Camelot during the dark ages! These apts are all so old. I'd say from the 70s. Of course they upgraded some things. IN THE EARLY NINETIES. So our A/C never works right because its older than me. And the insulation here sucks, so during summer months expect 300 on your electrical bill! The internet that they offer is super slow and impossible to use unless you pay extra to make its somewhat faster. Still think my 4G is faster though. The appliances are old and nasty. The disposal breaks all the time. The maintnance staff is really friendly but there's not much they can do to keep fixing junk that just needs to be replaced. Dealing with The management with these complaints is a full time job. They also constantly say they cant do anything. After one entire year arguing back and forth about the A/C AND getting GRU involved to prove that this A/C is worthless they finally said they will install a new unit. But guess what! We're moving out now. We have friends that live here in different units and they all have the same problems.
