Downtown Denton wraps around its historic square. The Courthouse on the Square, built in 1896, is the centerpiece and landmark of the Downtown area. It is no longer used as a courthouse; instead, it is the Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum. The square is a gathering place for residents and is where a variety of events and festivals are held, such as the Arts & Autos festival, which combines local artists with car enthusiasts for a unique event that also includes food and live music.
This very walkable community is home to a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and antique stores. Denton is a college town, home to both the University of North Texas and the Texas Woman's University. The city is known for its music, the North Texas State Fair and Rodeo, and a variety of music events that includes the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival. Downtown Denton is home to a variety of museums and art galleries, including the Bayless-Selby House Museum and the Lightwell Gallery at UNT.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at East End Lofts at the Railyard
Moved in July of this year and so far have been very happy. Despite the small square-footage, my unit feels large and I like the colors and texture in the finishes. Parking has not been an issue and I had one problem with AC, I put in a help ticket in the evening and maintenance fixed the issue first thing in the morning. The location here is perfect for me, close to UNT and walking distance to the square.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad to hear that you're enjoying your home since moving in this July. It’s great to know that the spacious feel, thoughtful finishes, and convenient location near UNT and the Square are working well for you. We also appreciate your kind words about our maintenance team — quick service is something we take pride in. We're here if you ever need anything and look forward to continuing to make your experience a great one.
You will have a better life trying to live with the homeless people that continuously wander around the building. At least the homeless are more polite than management!! Do not make the mistake I did, there's plenty of other options in Denton, pick another place.

Hi there – we're truly sorry to hear that your experience with our community has left you feeling this way. We take all resident feedback seriously and are especially concerned to hear that you’ve felt disrespected. Our goal is to maintain a respectful, safe, and welcoming environment for all, and your comments will be shared with our team for reflection. If you're open to it, we’d appreciate the opportunity to learn more and work toward a resolution. Please reach out to us directly at the leasing office or by phone.
I will start by saying do not live anywhere in Denton that has the Martino Group name attached to it. These people have been a nightmare from the beginning. I won't go on a super long rant because I know that no one will read through that. I will say that overall the apartments are nice. They're made pretty cheaply, but that's to be expected in Denton. You will pay an astronomical amount for VERY little square feet, and you will be told that your "amenity" is being so close to the square. Which I promise you will NOT matter when you realize how insanely obnoxious the train is that runs directly next to your apartment. How creepy all the homeless people approaching you are while you walk to your car. On top of that, there is no office on site so the management does NOT take care of the property. There's dog poo everywhere and the entire property is trashed. I guarantee that you'll pay an insane amount of extra fees for all this "cleaning" that apparently happens, but it never does. The Martino Group has shown me that they do not care about their property, their reviews, or their tenants. They only care about one thing - MONEY. You'll never hear from them unless they have a new charge they want to throw your way, or they have a new fee that they want to add to your statement. It's absolutely ridiculous. I wish I would have never moved in here, and I can not wait to move out. Please, do yourself a favor and live anywhere in Denton other than a property that is associated with the Martino Group.
