Plantation Colony offers such a comfortable and homely environment. Their staff is welcoming and makes each interaction special. From the detailed-oriented tour to the warm hot coco, I was pleased with the visit. The apartments are spacious and offer a great deal of wiggle room for personalization.

Cons: - Appliances are old, and outdated. They poorly paint over electrical panels, outlets, and light switches to make it look “new” but that’s not the case - Frequent power outages even on clear days. I had to call maintenance several times to fix this issue - Huge bug problem. My building in particular had a carpenter ant infestation. Had to call maintenance multiple times for this as well but the infestation remained - Good luck getting a security deposit back. They owe me almost $400 and I have yet to receive it and doubt I ever will - Limited parking. Had to avoid parking my car under any tree because almost always I would find iguana poop all over my car if parked under a tree (I attached a picture) Pros: - Close to 595 & a variety of shopping plazas with many shops - Responsive maintenance - Would landscape frequently. They keep things clean mostly. Just don’t go to the dumpster as that was often overflowing and messy. Frankly, residents deserve better at this price point. There are much newer buildings in the area at a similar price, and they are objectively better. I would avoid any Greystar owned apartment complex as they seem to prioritize profits over a positive living experience for residents. Good Luck!

Plantation Colony has been our home for four years now. We never anticipated staying in South Florida this long, but we wouldn’t be anywhere else. The convenience of the location is a perfect match to our needs. We walk easily to grocery, retail, and dining location. Some weeks my car doesn’t move at all. The Management and Maintenance teams are professional, efficient, and kind. I recommend this property to all of the parents in the Nova Southeastern Facebook group on a regular basis.

Sense of community has always been utmost important to my family and I. Planning to rent for 15 months, we didn't want to lose the sense of community that we have enjoyed in all our homes here in South Florida. No matter what neighborhood in which we lived, we always found "community!" We were not prepared to have such a sense of community here in a rental community, and were delighted to find people friendly, but respectful of privacy, and although it's only been a month, we love it here. We love that our sweet dog, Bear, feels at home, has met some new playmates, and enjoys his long walks, and the dog park, and the walkway near the canal. We're about ready to check out the Pet Washing Station, and know he will love his new bathing ritual. As a realtor of 35 years, and moving into this area "short-term" we feel we have not had to give up ANYTHING. We love our new community! Five stars!!

I am a first time ever apartment renter in South Florida. Plantation Colony apartments stood out on top from the time that I visited as a prospective renter. Their front office staff with Cathy and Shontell were so welcoming, accommodating and stellar when providing the information needed to assist me in making a very easy decision to rent with them. They were very patient and not pushy when I asked for time to consider. The facilities are well kept and the apartments are exactly as advertised online.

Excellent office and maintenance staff. Good size apartments and nice grounds and pool area. Apartments need to be upgraded with energy efficient applicances, upgraded cabinets in kitchen (no contact paper on cabinet doors).

We love living here! The school district/ access to highways and floor plans work great for our family of 4. We lived here for 2 years moved to Davie for a year and instantly moved back. Really great amenities until covid and now we have to deal with ridiculous hours and an amenity pass app that is Inconvenient and frustrating to use! Please please please open the amenities back up!!!!! We are looking to move if this doesnt get better.

We have a short term lease (7 months). We have found this apartment (2/2) to be very comfortable. The rent is reasonable. We had no carpet in our unit (important due to health issues), this is a rare find. The management is very friendly, service orientated and fast at resolving any issues that you may have. The landscaping is very pleasing. Kitchen is also pretty roomy.

Plantation Colony is in a great location however the apt complex itself needs a lot of improvements(old and outdated) if they want to compete with the surround apartment complexes. Plantation Colony landscape is beautiful but its also need to concentrate on the filthy corridors or hall ways (pressure cleaning) and the crack and damage parking lots. Plantation Colony need to hire better and professional vendors

Since moving in almost 3 weeks ago, I have had nothing but a pleasant experience! The staff has always been very friendly, helpful, and respectful. The community feels very safe and is very quiet, which is nice for being a student. While walking my dog, I have encountered many other residents and all of them are so friendly and welcoming. The apartment is clean, spacious, and has a lot of natural lighting. I would recommend living here to anyone!

Plantation Colony is meticulously maintained. The apartments are large because they are older. No self-cleaning ovens, microwaves or granite though. But still very homey.

This is the best apartment community I have ever lived in. The staff is great, they are extremely pet friendly, neighbors are always respectful, and the apartments are well maintained. Having the quality they offer in a central location would be next to impossible to beat.

I moved into this apartment around October, 2019. Mold is bath room is always bad and I have to have a fan to blow wind into my bathroom to help and spray mold at least once a week to stay in an ok condition. Later on I found mold spreading in living room and kitchen. They came to fix. V in the office is very helpful and fast responses. They sprayed chemical stuffs on the wall and repainted it. They changed a/c unit and clean the duct also. I went on vacation during Christmas and new year. When I came back I found mold around refrigerator and cabinets. I informed the office. I had to wait for Mindy (V’s boss) to come back from vacay to make decision because I want to transfer to other room or terminate the contract. Money came back on January 8, 2020. She cannot make decision and passed me to her boss, Sarah. Sarah called me while I was at work. She told me that “it is my responsibility to clean mold in the kitchen just like I clean my bathroom. Mold in the kitchen is common in Southern Florida”. I couldn’t believe what I heard so I asked all my coworkers if it is common around here to have mold developing in the kitchen? They all said “NO”. Sarah refuses to transfer or terminate my contract. Be aware if you are planning to move to this apartment. It is very old and mold could be a big problem. I will record everything and keep fighting until I can get out of this apartment without penalty. I hope Sarah’ family (children or grandchildren) doesn’t have to go through this problem like me. I give “1” star for V. For the apartment and other staffs “0”.
