Located just a few blocks east of Downtown Memphis and stretching from Danny Thomas Boulevard to Interstate 69, the Medical District of Memphis is quickly becoming a neighborhood known for its character, rather than its industry. Characterized by high-rise apartment buildings interspersed among medical and office buildings, and low-rise, mid-century apartment buildings along both sides of Cleveland Avenue have attracted a growing and diverse population. This is obviously a convenient neighborhood for anyone who works in or associated with the growing medical industry in Downtown Memphis. Such a large employment force means there are plenty of restaurants and entertainment choices, and the center of Memphis is just a few minutes’ walk away.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Helix at the District
I’ve lived here since 2019 In the past year I’ve had more issues than not. Pests, moisture, EXTREMELY poor air conditioning and maintenance. Drug use is pretty high, I have seen one overdose this year.
The team takes care of my apartment and everyone is so nice.
If you can afford it, pay a little more to live somewhere else. This building is raggedy and falling apart. They have roaches everywhere and you can’t get rid of them. They constantly have issues with the water and have to shut it off for repairs… this happens at least once a week. They have an issue with leaks. People leave trash and other nasty stuff on the elevators. This place needs to be shut down and renovated from the ground up in order for it to be inhabitable. So glad I was able to leave!
Horrible building. Please stay away if you want to sleep at nights My apartment and the whole building is infested with cockroaches and they are everywhere coming from underneath doors and from behind stove and Fridge Asked for fumigation and management keeps ignoring me and everyone Can’t wait finish my lease to move out My car and many other cars have been broken into inside the parking lot and they do not have any cameras Kitchen sink was plugged and asked to be fixed now a month and nobody showed up Please stay away. I was deceived by it is near work and cheap rent but ended up paying twice the rent
