Property Ratings at Linden Lofts
I have lived at the Linden Lofts for about 2 years. I love my apartment- it is spacious and super cool, and anytime I had any issue or needed something fixed, the management and staff were extremely accomodating, responsive and efficient. The rooftop deck is a nice place to hang out, and the exercise room and included parking are added bonuses.
My fiancé and I have lived in the Linden Lofts for two years. It has been the absolute best experience. Our one bedroom apartment itself was beautiful; new appliances, original hard-wood floors, and filled with charming character. The amenities that came along with living here were added bonuses- two community courtyards with grills, a relaxing roof-top deck, and a fitness room- all in which we took full advantage of. You truly can not beat the price you will pay while living here along with everything that comes with it. We loved being so close to Downtown York! Not to mention, the staff is friendly and always willing to help. Anytime we had a question, it would be answered in a timely manner. I would recommend living here to everyone and anyone. The Linden Lofts has truly felt like home and we are so thankful for the time we have spent here.
We've lived here for 6 months, and we LOVE it! We wanted a place that was safe, quiet, lots of light, all on 1 floor, and a washer and dryer. Residents are all ages. We are senior citizens and it is a perfect fit for us. We love the beautiful building, and that the hallways and rooms aren't all at right angles. When we open my door, the is only 1 other apartment that we can see. The hallways aren't straight like a hotel hallway, but have twist and turns. The gym has some nice treadmills that we use as well as other equipment. We've never had to wait to get on the treadmills. We have had occasion to call for non emergency maintenance, they've responded by the next day and fixed the problem. We highly recommend this apartment complex and any Yohn property to anyone. The only complains we have are parking, and that there is no way to enter the building without going up at least 1 step. The basement parking is too narrow for either of my cars, so that's not an option for us to use. There is close parking around the perimeter of the building and an overflow lot a short walk away. We were given 2 parking passes. I wish there was 1 pass for perimeter parking or overflow parking lot for your 1st car, and a 2nd pass for only the overflow parking lot. There are times I've not been able to find a parking spot around the perimeter of the building.
I have been an extremely happy tenant at Linden Lofts for the past two years. The building has incredible character, and the property management team has gone out of their way to preserve the historical integrity of the building. In addition, any time that there is an issue in my apartment, the issue is addressed and fixed in a very timely manner. Over the span of the last two years, I have been extremely satisfied with my experience at Linden Lofts. Trish, who handles the leasing and showing of the properties, is personable, professional, and always prompt in her communication to the tenants. Matt and Chuck, who handle maintenance at Linden Lofts, are incredibly efficient and thorough with their work. I truly appreciate the work that the team does for the tenants at Linden Lofts. Whenever I was looking to move to a new apartment within the building, Trish went out of her way to find me something that would work for me. This type of individual attention and care does not happen in most places, and I truly appreciate the care that the members of the Yohn Property Management team shows to their tenants. After reading two negative reviews, I felt compelled to set the record straight about Linden Lofts. I love where I live, the property management team is professional, thorough, and prompt, and I strongly disagree with the sentiments of individuals that speak poorly about Linden Lofts. I have recommended Yohn Property Management to two friends/colleagues, and both of them are extremely happy and satisfied with their experience in dealing with this group. If you are looking for a fantastic place to rent in York, choose Linden Lofts!
These apartments appear gorgeous at first glance but after moving in you quickly become aware of many maintenance issues and lack of response. Most tenants don't renew after the year is up due to problems with leaks in the apartment, issues with animals in the dryer vents, and poor parking. The appliances are cheap and so everything takes longer and therefore uses more electricity. The oven can take up to an hour to preheat and the dryer never completed a small load in less than 2hours. If you contact Maintenace they can take up to two weeks to respond to the issue. The one elevator is constantly getting stuck and each time a tenant contacts them to let them know Maintenace states that they are never aware of the issue. What was promised before we moved in, changed drastically once we lived there and a different tune was sung when we moved out.

I am sorry that this was your experience. We have many people who have been with us for years and continue to renew. We respond to maintenance issues as soon as possible and always put our tenants first.
I frequent linden lofts as a result of my girlfriends residence. Now, they are quite beautiful, but I have watched my girlfriend and her roommate try many times to have multiple issues resolved. Management throws band aid solutions at surgical problems( I will get into detail- this complaint is most certainly warranted) If you are planning on renting here, I HIGHLY suggest you reconsider. Let's start from the ground up. The parking garage is extremely small and tight; park there for a month and you'll quickly mature a serious case of claustrophobia, along with some new dent presents in your vehicle. But that's how it goes. What is not acceptable is the elevator, which my girlfriend has contacted Trish about on multiple occasions, going back 4 months. Imagine finding yourself in the elevator, pushing your floor button, but the only response is the elevator door opening and closing repeatedly. It's frustrating but when I had to stay over a few nights after my back surgery, it was torture to have to use the stairs. Trish was notified multiple times and it would be fixed. Not only has it not been addressed, but it's gotten progressively worse. Just last week new residents were moving in and we're physically stuck on the elevator. What's next? Does someone have to be seriously injured or die for management to fix this issue? Inside of her apartment it's been somewhat of a nightmare. A cylinder has been attached to the dryer for ventilation. I'm not sure what engineer designed this, but it goes vertical to the ceiling and straight through her room. This is the nightmare part- she's had leaks on both sides of her wall from that cylinder since she moved in. They have attempted many band aid fixes but have not been interested in participating in a real solution. Same holds true for her windows- they leak like a sieve. I've only hit on a few points of pain during this review. I understand things of this nature do happen. It's a Reality. But what has been alarming is their lack of response, especially regarding dangerous issues concerning linden lofts. I'm writing as a third party who has watched the frustration mount for my girlfriend and her roommate. They did not know I was writing posting this review, but I have been turned off and feel the need to warn the York community of they choose to rent at this location.

I'm sorry to hear of the frustration your partner has experienced. I wish to respond to your main concerns: - Garage: there are multiple parking lots available to tenants. The number of spaces in the garage is limited and therefore the tenant's choice to use. - Elevator: the building has two functional elevators. When there has been an issue with one of the elevators we have had the repair company out at their next available appointment and signs are posted to ensure no one uses the elevator while the service is down. There has never been a time that both elevators have been out of service simultaneously. We work diligently to ensure that our tenants are happy and respond to any maintenance needs as quickly as possible.
So much character here. Hardwood floors, exposed brick, wood pillars. Also, it's so close to everything.
