Situated just seven miles northwest of Idaho’s capital city, Northwest Boise provides a compact suburban community on the edge of sprawling outdoor destinations. Renters can find large-scale apartment communities rich in amenities as well as single-family homes for rent. There’s a collection of shops and restaurants on the community’s southeastern corner, including Indian cuisine, American cafes, grocery stores, and more. The real draw of Northwest is its proximity to hiking trails and Shafer Butte, an incredible mountain peak that’s a part of the Boise Ridge Mountains. In the warmer months, Northwest Boise is prime hiking territory, and the colder months make for incredible skiing.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Limelight Village
Just moved here recently and have been very let down with the outcome. With paying this price I expected things to go more smoothly but that was not the case. Ceiling fans/lights remotes interfere with neighbors lights/fan. There are bugs everywhere, even after spraying. I even told the management about bugs in the fitness center and they told me to put in a maintenance request and to submit photos. I’ve even had my apartment sprayed for bugs by my brother-in-law and they haven’t stopped coming. Setting up the WiFi wasn’t easy and I wasn’t given the proper information to be able to get it set up properly. The noise of state street is so loud with the speed limit being 45, not to mention being so close to the fire station. I’m on the third floor and I can hear my downstairs neighbors walking around and shutting their doors. The washer and dryer don’t have a room so the noise fills the apartment. The dishwasher is also rather noisy. And the A/C / furnace is located in one of the bedrooms which is awfully noisy when it’s in use. There are no closets for storage, only the bedroom closets. Besides that there are some open shelves, or the kitchen cabinets. I’ve had to purchase a lot of new furniture just so I can have places to store my belongings because I don’t have enough where it would be worthwhile to pay for the storage areas they provide on the first floor of other buildings. There isn’t enough parking with many people resorting to the street.
Issues at the Property 1. Internet Setup: Ethernet cables in rooms are non-functional at move-in. Ours were cut and required maintenance, causing a frustrating delay. 2. Ceiling Fan Remote: Fan remotes interfere with neighbors' fans/lights due to shared frequencies. It took days to resolve. 3. Bug Infestation: Bugs are common in summer, with gaps in construction allowing easy entry. 4. Parking: Spaces are narrow, and late-night parking is difficult. Paid covered parking is tight and overpriced at $50/month. 5. Bedroom Door Locks: Locked bedroom doors are difficult to reopen. Management doesn’t provide tools or assistance. 6. Toilet Paper Holder: Placement is low, allowing pets to easily shred the toilet paper. 7. Heater Vent Issues: Vents distribute heat unevenly, leaving some rooms cold. Heaters are noisy and slow to fix. 8. Management and Maintenance: Response times are slow. Repairs, such as for the heater, take weeks. 9. Office and Phone Communication: Office staff is often unavailable, and phone calls go unanswered. 10. Overall Quality: Appliances and amenities feel cheap despite high rent. Additional costs, like parking fees, feel unjustified. Conclusion: Living here is disappointing due to poor management, subpar construction, and preventable issues. It’s difficult to recommend this property.
