Lighthouse Bay

My son lived here his junior and senior year of college. Very quiet and safe, great pool and the office staff were always helpful. Highly recommend!

Background : Originally planned to live here for a year or 2 and then move closer to downtown or Bayshore. With career advancements and over half a decade later, I'm still here and planning to stay + upgrade from a mid-large studio to 1 Bedroom. The staff, especially Stephanie and Gabrielle, helped me through a part of my life (not financial but challenging), and I'm very grateful to them and the team. How It Compares : Being objective and curious about the actual value, I recently did the comparison to other "similar" + "luxury" apartments, and even with the distances to key locations, you would have to spend 34% more to meet all the value criteria found here. Toured a few recently, and some other apartments were downright sneaky, pushing for UN-renovated units (which was odd?), at slightly higher than average. Alarms rang, with my worry being "what happens when you start renovating MY unit and the price increases dramatically?". Here, it's always been give and take; prices will increase to match inflation and trends but none of that previous BS. It's not perfect but it feels like home. This Apartment : CONS : - Alertness crossing main street into entrance (not their fault) - Does not yet have a gate but difficult with current entrance (maybe near future upgrade with new entrance?) , does have cameras, security, frequent guard - Some dated counters / cabinets (but I moved in before some renovations so probably ignore this) - 12 month lease max. as of posting this (15 would be cool) - Blinds / mechanism to turn them are a bit flimsy - No wall shelves for studio (may change?); there is a book case floor to ceiling though even in studio - Unfurnished (not sure if exists/possible) PROS : - The nicest and hardest working staff - Everyone valuing privacy + courtesy neighbors - Reasonable response for maintenance and honest timelines (so even if things take time/time to arrive, you can plan) - Very private / feels exclusive (most people don't know apartments are here) - Quite, calm, scenic - Safety - Fair price,- luxury feel without the full price (even the studio) - No cleanliness issues - Cyclists will enjoy relative closeness to Bayshore (plus sidewalk leads to 2 lights for safe crossing which is better than almost every other apartment near by without lights or going through maze of streets) - Walk-able at any hour around the unit - Clean grounds - Efficient gym with very nice multi-body part machine with heavy weights option on the machine

I absolutely love living here. I've been in my studio for 9 months and I just resigned my lease. I love the staff here, they are always friendly and willing to help me with whatever I need. They have always had great communication with their residents on any maintenance or general information announcements. The complex is clean and very well maintained. I live on the first floor and I've never had a pest issue. The rent here is EXTREMELY well priced, especially for the South Tampa area. I would recommend this place to everyone

I have lived at Lighthouse By for 9 months no, and I have no complaints. The staff is very friendly and flexible and they have just added the option to pay online. I have had very few issues with property upkeep, and if I do, they are quick to respond and fix your problems same day. They have weekly pest control, and if you need pest control when they are not working on your building, they will come over and fix it- they helped me with a wasp problem I was having. The pool and gym are always clean and I love using them. The gym doesn't have many machines and it isn't state-of-the-art but it gets the job done, especially if you don't want to pay for a gym membership like me.

I lived at Lighthouse Bay for a year and a half, and have no complaints. The location is excellent; you're within walking distance of Target and Publix and Walmart is just a short drive (or slightly longer walk away). The apartments and grounds (including the pool) are well-maintained and any maintenance requests were responded to quickly. The staff are super friendly and send out a helpful monthly newsletter and have little celebrations in the office for special occasions and holidays. I really enjoyed living here!

I toured these apartments 6 months before moving in and fell in love immediately. I had toured so many other apartments and none were as calm, safe, and beautiful as these. The staff was hands down the best i met on my calls and tours. I re-located from out of state during this pandemic and Stephanie B. was the absolute BEST at walking me through the process: she is kind, professional and knows her stuff. i couldn't have done it with out her. Gabrielle and Patricia are equally top notch to deal with and both have great customer service and are on top of their game. Now that i have moved in the apartment is bright, clean, and the view is spectacular. The South Tampa location is everything and the pricing is more than fair. The view from my place is resort-like and i couldn't be happier. Thank you stephanie! and rest of the staff. there is no one i encountered at Lighthouse Bay that didnt excel at working with people and their customer service is very on point.

The complex staff know exactly the line to walk to take advantage of your temporary home. They protect their staff from their mistakes and customer mistreatment. They are dirty, with a less than capable maintenance staff. For new price there will be better options.

I recently moved all the way from Michigan into a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment here at Lighthouse Bay. Everyone in the office was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, and kept in contact with me the entire time to make sure everything went smoothly. My experience with the maintenance and ground staff has also been very pleasant and professional. My apartment was very clean and updated upon move-in!! It's very quiet here, great location, good school district, and of course the pool is a bonus. I'm very happy here!

Lived here for about 7 months, maybe more. We've had a few smaller issues with our apartment, but the staff were always on top of it and super friendly. It does not have the most updated apartments (some of the cabinets are older), but it's better than some of the more expensive ones. It's cheaper than most apartment complexes, so the apartments go quickly. Never had an issue with safety or anything like that. I feel pretty comfortable with the others that live in this complex. Overall, it's been a great experience here!

Lighthouse Bay apartments are a great value in a very convenient South Tampa location! The management team is very nice and efficient and maintenance issues are addressed in s timely manner. It is a very quiet place and most importantly has a sense of safety.

Awesome place to live.Great staff all around.Amenities are very nice.Pet friendly.Easy access to surrounding areas,close to stores and malls,hospitals.Many model to choose from. I have to say in the 20 something years on and off in Lighthouse Bay apts I am finally home. Great rates on all sizes.

I would like to start by complimenting the friendly and helpful staff. The ladies in the leasing office are both helpful and kind. They answered any questions or concerns I had quickly and in an exemplary fashion. In addition, the maintenance workers are excellent about taking care of any problems, should they arrive. They are also very amicable. I have an excellent community of neighbors who are both caring and welcoming. The premises are safe and clean and include a sparkling pool and jacuzzi as well as two laundry facilities and a tennis court! A guard is also posted at night which makes Lighthouse Bay very secure as well. A phenomenal place to live.

Lighthouse Bay is a small complex, with an active community. It is extremely quiet and it is not uncommon to see fellow neighbors exercising around the neighborhood. Whether it's parents pushing kids in strollers or others just going for a run/walk, there is a distinct allurement to see your neighbors enjoying the apartment grounds. Having lived in other apartment complexes and sometimes having to deal with noisy or loud neighbors, Lighthouse Bay offers serenity from some of the competition. It is no more than 15 minutes to Internatinal Plaza, the airport, restaurants, bars, downtown Tampa and Ybor city. The management staff is extremely helpful and courteous in any situation. Lighthouse Bay is an older complex that has a bit of a lived-in-feel and while it could use some aesthetic changes like the landscaping and the gym, it is still a terrific choice for small families and single people who need a comfortable place to call home.
