Property Ratings at Liberty Apartments
I’m active duty military & have resided at Liberty Apartments for the past 18 months. James as well as Lauren have been amazing. Any issues I had including maintenance were resolved almost immediately. The apartment itself is very modern and spacious and common areas are always well kept and clean. Everyone at this property including residents are respectful and have made this community a pleasant experience.
James W. manages the apartments and has ALWAYS been available to help whenever I needed it. He is very kind and informative. The office is attentive to your requests and responds to questions very quickly! My son lives there while attending the Newport News Shipyard Apprenticeship Program. The location is right next door to the yard and each renter gets an assigned parking spot. The maintenance staff are also quick to respond to issues. We have had a wonderful experience and would recommend this apartment to anyone...especially if working at the Newport News Shipyard.
I would definitely recommend Liberty to anyone that is looking for a nice apartment. For me its close to work along being close to the bridges and interstates, making commute so much faster. James also has been a huge help to me and is great to work with. He is very understanding with situations if you communicate with him! Also just very friendly staff all around. I have 0 complaints about living here and so far Im planning on staying here for ahwhile! :)
I was stationed in Virginia and didn’t have a car. Which meant I had to find somewhere close to live to walk to work. I ended up choosing Liberty apartments. Honestly, best place I could’ve chosen. The staff are nice, maintenance is fast and professional. I literally put in 5 maintenance tickets because our lights went out (refrigerator and kitchen), our blinds weren’t working properly, and some other stuff. They came out the next day and fixed everything.
Liberty is so close to my work I am so happy to find such a nice apartment so close to work. Walking to work was one of the main things that sold me on Liberty.
James and Erica rock! I made the move from NH, not having the opportunity to actually tour the place/area beforehand. Both were wonderful resources throughout my transition and immediately helped me feel like a valued member of the community! can’t speak highly enough of my experience at Liberty!
I the leading staff at liberty makes living here so easy and enjoyable. I have no complaints and will definitely be renewing for another year.
such a good apartment to live in because safe and sound at peace with quiet
overall the apartments well kept very helpful and friendly staff but my biggest complaint has to be the thin walls. You can here everything from the traffic outside, neighbors talking, to every step the people living above you make. The street noise and lack of consideration from the residence that live above me are my biggest issues with these apartments. If you can stand the noise, they are perfect. If not i wouldnt recommend living here.
Living by the water and the shipyard, Liberty Apartments is the most awesome place I've lived in. This is my first appartment since moving here and I plan to renew my lease for another year. Wifi by the poolside along with a 24 hour accessible gym. The amenties in the apartment are wonderful. Marble countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. Modernized apartment to keep up with my style. Just absolutlely love it!!!!!!!!!
I have not been living at Liberty Apartments for long, but I am very satisfied with my stay so far. The apartments are new, and they are in excellent shape. The amenities are very nice, including a 24 hour fitness center and community room, a nice pool, and my favorite, a parking garage with assigned parking. It is great to have your own parking space and a spot for your visitors in downtown Newport News. Liberty Apartments is in waking distance from the Newport News Shipyard and the Apprentice School, and they offer employee discounts. I have a one bedroom apartment, and it fits me well. This apartment complex is starting to turn the Downtown Newport News area around.
