Property Ratings at Lewis Grand Apartments
I’ve lived at this complex for four years, and over that time I’ve seen many staff members come and go. Generally, my experiences here have been decent until recently. The other day, I had an interaction that was so disappointing, it has made me seriously consider moving out. Initially, I called and left a voicemail, which was never returned. Frustrated, I decided to go directly to the office to speak with someone. I quickly realized why I have not received a call back. I waited about 20 minutes before being helped by a young woman at the front desk. She was kind and apologized for my wait and that she would be right with me. 3 other people were waiting who are also upset. One man said “screw this” and left. I thought she was the only staff member present until I saw a woman emerge from the back office. To my dismay, I learned she is the new apartment manager. What followed was truly disappointing. I briefly started explaining my issue, only to be cut off and told in a long winded statement, “that’s just how it is.” There was absolutely no attempt at human interaction or understanding. I don’t expect to be treated like a friend, but basic courtesy and professionalism are a minimum. Instead, I was met with coldness and dismissiveness. This experience was so poor that I decided to leave without further discussion. My lease is ending soon, and if this is the attitude and professionalism of the management team, I honestly don’t see a reason to stay. There are plenty of newer complexes with staff who treat tenants with respect. I’ve dealt with minor issues here before, and while I don’t expect perfection, I’ve always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful—until now. If this is the new management’s attitude, I can confidently say many tenants will choose to leave. Overall, this experience has left a sour taste, and I hope the management takes note. I debated writing this at the risk of retaliation so I am deciding to stay anonymous. However, treating tenants with basic respect isn’t too much to ask. I would also like to think basic people skills should be a requirement of this job but apparently not. I will add after seeing these reviews (admittedly I hadn’t seen these before coming to leave this one).. it seems this management company turns a blind eye to how tenants are treated.

Let me start by saying from the beginning Danielle has been nothing but great. She made sure that everything was communicated timely and everything was in order. We could not have been more happy with the proces, which was seamless. It has been a couple of weeks since we've moved in and the apartment is great. My husband and I was worried about the noise level when we moved in but we keep saying how quiet it is here, happy about that. There is only a couple of things that need to be addressed but nothing is perfect but I know that they will be worked out. If you need a great place to live the Lewis Grand is the place to consider. I recently relocated like so many others and I know I choose The best place for us. Practical brand new - modern/ contemporary finishes and layout. The amenities are extremely important to us, we are gym rats and the equipment is some of the best and well maintained. Based on my research it is a really great neighborhood and growing .shopping, schools ,restaurants and hospital all at my fingertips Access to all of the grand strand has us in the perfect location for getting every where quickly.Special thanks to James and Denise when we moved in they helped us make the transition smooth and easy. Loving this place , community and weather !!

I will give you the truth and tell it well...I"ve been here since May of 2020 and I just renewed my lease for a third year here. The apartments and amenities are spectacular! (Going to crap?? really? The pool was terrific last week and sunning on the deck was amazing as usual)..the layout of the complex is breathtaking as it resides on a pond with plenty of acreage for walking, running and other outdoor activities. It is expertly landscaped with just the right amount of greenery, blossoming shrubs and palm trees. OK...yes there have been changes here...but they began in 2021, long before the new management team arrived here in January of 2022. From what I have witnessed, the problems mentioned in some of the other reviews on this page have festered here for quite some time. What I see is that the new management team has addressed these and all other concerns. The new maintenance team are great guys and always there to help me with any problem with my unit( as it has always been,,,never a problem) I have made great friends here! The community atmosphere abounds and it is great to call The Lewis Grande my home!

I live here now. After December of 2021, The new rental company came in and this place is horrible now. The amenities have gone to crap. Packages get lost, so everything we order now we have sent to my work. They will not help and tell you to call the post office, previous ownership went out of their way to help with any inconvenience with the Luxer system. It’s one thing after another here now and it’s already getting old. I went to wash my dog and the hose is broken and shooting out the sides, isn’t there a maintenance team on site ?!?! This should be a very easy fix. Go to the store and buy a new hose. Now they ask everyone to pick up after their dogs which is the way it’s supposed to be but the bags sat empty for a couple days, luckily we have bags upstairs. Most importantly, don’t ask for help with anything. It’s a problem and it’s not them physically saying that, it’s their body language. I loved it before when it was Mosby, now we can’t wait for our lease to end to get out. We pay a lot of money to live here and it’s definitely no longer worth it.

We do understand that there are challenges for residents when new management comes in to manage the property. I can tell you we are here to help, the Luxor system was implemented by the previous management company so there is a transition period to get them set up with our system. The problem has been resolved and we now have access to let residents know if they have a package. The hose in the pet spa was broken when we took over but that has been replaced along with a new dryer. We have hired a grounds/porter to maintain the pet stations on a weekly basis so this problem is resolved. Please if there are any other concerns stop by the office my door is always open for us to chat.

The apartments are great, the amenities are awesome and the entire staff including the maintenance guys are the best I have ever dealt with. Cheryl, Anna, Rob and Brian in the office are the easiest people to deal with. Any issues they handle immediately. What really got my attention is how they all say hi all the time and call you by your name. It is a wonderful place to live and I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon. I’ve lived here for about 6 months and it’s definitely not a rip off. Prices are going up everywhere so in retrospect….it competes with other high end places. It’s quite pleasant and the best amenities in the area. As far as the parking…as long as you follow the rules and have your parking sticker or visitors pass, there are no issues. I’ve had issues at other places due to visitors etc…but not here. Great on site team…they will always help when they can. They respond quickly to any problems that may surface. I’ll be renewing my lease when the time comes.

We’ve lived in this complex for the past year. When we received the lease renewal options for this upcoming year, this complex is increasing our rent $500 dollars a month! Stay away from this complex. The management is lackluster, parking is awful. Definitely not worth what they charge to live in this complex.

We are very sorry you are having some issues at the community. As to the renewal of your lease, the only time it is upwards of $500 is for the month-to-month option. Please come into the office so we can look at your other renewal rates and get one selected for you at the lower price. As to the parking, we have gone to permit parking to ensure that all residents have ample parking for themselves. We have several visitor spaces as well for your guests. If you know you are going to have a guest please come to the office and we will give you a temporary pass for them which allows them to park anywhere in the community. We are here to help in any way we can.
I can’t say enough about how beautiful and classy this place is. The only Issue I have is the noise , the walls are Paper thin.
We have just been approved for a two bedroom apartment here. The property has 10 building, most of which have outdoor access to apartment access except for building one which is interior access to apartments. The property has a gorgeous salt water pool with gas grills and a fireplace, community room with kitchen and TVs for gathering, and a game room with poker tables, a pool table, shuffle board table, among other games, and a dog park with a dog spa for cleaning your dogs after play. The property and it’s apartments lead you to imagine that you are at a luxury resort versus an apartment complex. The rent is higher then the average rent in the area but you get what you pay for. My wife and I are very excited in move into our new home!
