We have called Legends at Kitty Hawk home for thirteen years. We love our apt., the beautiful landscaping, and the peaceful atmosphere. Our maintenence requests are quickly and cheerfully done by Moises, head of maintenence, and Justin. The office staff, especially Courtney, is always welcoming and listens. We are happy at Legends at Kitty Hawk Apts.
!!!Be aware of fake reviews offering prizes in exchange for good ratings. I recommend against considering this apartment. It has been a terrible year and a half of my life. The roach infestation is rampant and despite trying various anti-roach gels and sprays, nothing seems to get rid of them. The trash is only collected once a week, which results in piles of bags outside the area that emit a strong odor, making it difficult to approach. The neighbors are extremely noisy and play loud music at all hours of the day and night. You won't be able to enjoy any tranquility in your own home or on weekends. Instead, you'll be forced to endure someone else's party music or even arousing, moaning sounds throughout the night. To make matters worse, every day, I had to listen to my neighbor's fights and their crying baby. I tried calling the police a couple of times concerning domestic disturbances, but they didn't show up. I imagine they are fed up with dealing with the area as well! I will not even mention management which does nothing about all this!!!
If you like your place to stay clean and don’t like to complain to the office all the time I would avoid renting here. When it comes to maintenance they will tell you what ever you want to hear to avoid doing the actual work, this place has a bird poop issue that they refuse to clean also pest control that they make you pay for is ineffective you will still have ants ?? no matter how clean you keep your place save the money and go to a better place
This place is amazing and I love the apartment complex. It’s quiet and clean and offers allot of amenity. The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist in any way shape or form. Great atmosphere and I recommend you check it out. Ivette
My first visit was amazing. I'm from California, and a contractor. The first thing I noticed was the layout of the property was breathtaking. The second thing I noticed was when I walked into the office, the decorations were beautiful. The staff was amazing; very helpful and very polite. The smell in the office was very pleasant, and pleasing. They offered me coffee and popcorn, which I've never encountered before in any complex. I have told many friends about this, and I sent pictures. I look forward to come into the office again. The two young ladies, Gloria and Charlotte, I think are an asset to the company and you made a wonderful choice to have them meet you in the office and greet residents. Our car got stolen out of the gated community and I know a few others have as well. If you’re late it’s a $450 fee. The staff is small and it’s very hard to get help. Work request take about a month
I have lived here for 3 years and in the last year it has completely changed for the worse..Trash sits outside of apt doors day and night, the breezeways and steps are extremely dirty. The loud unsupervised kids scream and run through buildings where they do the live for hours a day. Management has been told and nothing has been done. If you do not pay extra for a covered parking permit, you will have to park far away due to tenants who ignorantly park 2 and 3 of their cars directly in front of their building instead of following parking procedures. Will not resign another lease.

I have lived here for 6 months and I can't wait to move out. I am having the same issues. I really liked the apartment that they showed me. Everything was very clean and there were no bugs but once I signed my lease and stepped into my apartment it was filthy. My neighbors are loud. The valet trash is a joke. They show up late at night and make tons of noise and leave a mess in the stairwell. I have to park 2 sometimes 3 buildings away from my apartment. They change the code to the gates but don't inform you. And the loud unsupervised kids is ridiculous. I tried to use the grill at the pool..One was not working and the other was filthy. And I pay for pest control every month but they never show up even though I request them to. I could go on and on. Very unhappy here. Definitely doesn't feel like home. You go to the office and complain but nothing is never done!!! I pay way too much money for all these problems.

I moved into my apartments in December of 2014. At first it was hard for me to transition from living in a home to an apartment. However the management staff here were wonderful to work with. From the first day I came to look at the property to sigining my lease to moving in. They have spacious grounds. Some of the amenities included free Zumba classes for all resident and free trainers for losing weight, gift wrapping station, valid trash pick up, which is so helpful not having to take your own trash to the dumpsters. Olympic size pool and nice big grill , free wifi for residents, coffee cafe and snacks for residents all the time. A dog park and the grounds are very clean. They have so many wonderful things to offer the residents. I am very satisfied with the complex and the staff. I will be signing another 12 Month lease. I would recommend this place to any looking for a wonderful place to live.

I really enjoy my apartment it is very clean from the grounds to the actual apartment. It is really quiet away from any other apartments and very close by to the freeway, military base if you are in the military and the Forum shopping center. Plud my apartment has washer and dryer included which is a plus.
The apartments themselves are very nice, the grounds are well maintained. They claim to be a gated community, but one of the gates is always open, so if you are looking for gated for security this is not the place. Also have some issues with the staff and their responsiveness to service requests.
