Leafy Dell Apartments

The price is okay for the area and the size of the apartments. That’s the only good thing I have to say. Management really doesn’t care about complaints. When they do their biannual inspection they take pictures throughout your whole apartment which is really uncomfortable and frankly unnecessary unless there’s a lot of damage. The walls are really thin. If you live facing the parking lot good luck. They pick and chose when to enforce rules. (Feels like it happens when money is short. It’s never consistent) Overall, would not recommend.

Great management. Quick to repair problems. Respects your privacy. Enforces it rules equally. Love it.

A huge thank you to Frank, the maintenance guy, for helping me open and clean my very snowy parking space. Both my husband and I are in are 70's. My husband is handicapped. Snow events are always troublesome for me, since I make sure if my husband has medical issues, people can get to him. Shoveling snow has become hard for me each year. Frank came with the sidewalk snow brush machine and cleaned my parking space for me. He made a few minutes to help me in his very busy schedule. Thank you so much, Frank!

We were searching for an apartment from a thousand miles away and I found Leafy Dell on this website! I called and spoke to Judy and she was very helpful and patient in answering all my questions and concerns! We were pleased when we got here and saw it in person! We are thankful that we found this apartment! It is our home away from home!!

The Leafy Dell is a great place to live. Judy the apartment manager goes above and beyond to make everyone welcome and comfortable. If it wasn’t for Judy I would have chose a different apartment, I’m so glad I’ve chosen the Leafy Dell. Judy is a wonderful woman who is there for everyone, she is my next door neighbor and she makes it feel like home sweet home.

Just dont even think about living here. It's nasty,people are nasty, management is the worst

Our family would highly recommend these apartments. Well cared for, clean, good price. The property manager does a great job of helping residents, she truly listens and cares about the tenants and this property. The maintenance is 1st class, always friendly and knowledgeable, gets repairs done quickly. I honestly have never had a problem here, but we follow the rules. I have read other not so great reviews. I think if you read between the lines. They probably didn't follow the lease and was not happy when they were called on it. 5 STARS*****

We rented a 3 bedroom for a family of four. Very happy with the size of the apartment. They do a great job of setting the expectations ahead of time. If you follow the rules of the apartment complex and pay on time, you'll never have a problem with the management. We reached out three times for things to be fixed in the apartment and they responded, professionally, timely and did a great job with repairs. Pool is a great perk. Would recommend to anyone.

If you wanna live in an over-priced bandaid apartment complex. This muck is for you. The staff are rude and will do as they please with no regard as to getting in trouble. They believe they are untouchable because they are on “private property”. Will be coy and untruthful with you on just about everything. Zero out of 5 stars. Would not recommend.

worst management ever. They talk to you like a kid in a condescending manner, they try to squeeze money out of you by putting ambiguous signs up about broken blinds and ask you to pay for them.( not suggestion ). They like to lie to make things more conveiant for themselves. The Rooms were nice but the walls were thin as paper you could hearing everything around you and loud steps in the hall. Not worth the hassle you could find better.

Where to begin, its definitely not the worst place I have lived, but there are so many issues. First the light in the kitchen doesn't want to turn on half the time, and when it does finally come on it could be half an hour to 3 hours after you flipped the switch. When we told the manager she said it was because the humidity outside and there was nothing they could do to fix it, like what? The pest prevention was a joke, the guy walked in took a look around the room then left. Then the ants are horrible but again was told nothing they could do because the apartment didn't have them when we moved in. The management changes out every few months and to top it off they will raise your rent with out telling you and then charge you late fees out the ying yang because you weren't paying the full amount. I will say the maintenance man is super nice and so helpful and the pool is nice, the work out rooms not terrible if you don't mind half the equipment is missing. I would seriously think about it before you move in here, management never has the answers most of the time and it's quite frustrating.

We leased a 3-bedroom apartment at Leafy Dell for about 2 years and our experience was excellent. The apartment itself was clean and well-maintained when we moved in. The management seems really committed to keeping up the place - annual checks of furnaces, pest inspections, parking lot resurfacing/repair, mulching and pruning around plants, shingle replacements on all roofs after storm damage. We were also very impressed with their maintenance staff, for instance we had a young child who is all over the floor and they had remembered to bring coverings for shoes when they came in for maintenance work. Some other things to note include: Family friendly; you'd see children playing around and lots of families live there. Also super convenient for people sending children to elementary school since a new school opened up right down the street. Homebuyers program; the homebuying program they offer is an incredibly helpful perk for aspiring homeowners. Basically, if you work with Leafy Dell's partner realty when purchasing a home, you can end your lease with no penalty at that point. This worked very nicely for us. Since the realtors get their fee from the seller of a property there is no extra fee or cost to the buyer. In short we had a good renting experience, no complaints of note, and would recommend Leafy Dell to anyone looking for a good apartment situation in or around Johnstown.

I had to leave 1 star because it wouldn't let me select zero! These apartments are poorly made! You can hear everything that goes on! I was in the living room and could hear my upstairs neighbor going to the bathroom!!! Kids play on the stairs and it sounds like a herd of elephants in the apartment! I called the office because the window sill had fallen off and I had ants coming into my apartment and their response was "well we didn't give you the apartment with ants so I don't know what you want us to do".. I had to fix it myself!!! Our furnace went out every winter and had to wait to wait at least 2 days before it was fixed!!! When we first moved in they told us the wrong amount for rent so we were OVER paying which they NEVER told us until after 5 MONTHS!!!!!! There's a new manger in there every couple of months. Just poorly ran. So glad we got out!!! Would NOT recommend living here!!!

My apartment is small, but welcoming. For me and my fiance it suits us well. With one bedroom, one bath, kitchen, and living room we kinds stay on top of one another. Overall the apartment is quite nice.
