I lived in this community for 6+ years. I recently had a job change and a small commute that I was tired of. Ann and Maggie in the office have been there from the beginning. Consistency is big for me. Maintenance never took more than a day. Once my ac went out they put a window unit in till it was fixed. This is a great community with hardworking staff and management. Safe and well maintenance for an older community. I appreciate the years I had here and would recommend to anyone I know.

maintenance services are horrible. For the whole summer, I have a water dripping from upstairs apartment .they put a small IC unit in the window because the main IC unit is broken. I sent a ton of maintenance request and I called many time about this disgusting issue, but instead of fixing the issue I get a very rude response from Ann , she said that it is acceptable to have water on front of my door. I am very sure that she will never accept this situation on her door and never accept that dirty droplet drip on her head every time she has to leave or enter her apartment, but for me everyday,I have to deal with billions of bacteria or viruses dripping in my head or my ayes .My comments are not personal, Maggie is amazing , I really won’t renew my lease for the next year for lack of maintenance support. I will not read the routine response about contacting the office because it’s not fixing the problems, what fixing it , it’s taking care of well-being of all tenants

I would recommend this complex but I would have maintenance close up every hole or crack to prevent the bug issue I did that in my apartment and I no longer have that issue the spaces between the wall and the carpet it helps

A update on the stoves they are super old no matter how much someone pay on rent .

The huge roaches that always comes in because wall and carpets not flushed. I'm very clean, ocd. I don't leave crumbs, always clean my place, take trash out, make sure my place don't smell like food or any thing. Still I wake up to bugs dead in living because I have to put roach stuff all around the apartment, floor board and everywhere. It's an awesome place and area.. Just hate waking up or sleeping thinking a bug that size will walk on you in your sleep or get in your food. Scared me a few times when I seen a few in my bathtub. I'm learning to deal with them until I move and trying to be considerate that it is a wooded area do things will happen, but next place I'm checking everything and just be bug free! I would not suggest this place to others unless you're ok with huge roaches. Everything else is great!

I would and have recommended my complex to others. This is a wonderful place to live. The office crew and maintenance team are constantly striving to improve the quality and insure the comfort and safety of its residence. This is greatly appreciated by all. This is my home - has been for over five years. When people turn into Laurel Oaks complex they immediately go from the fast paced world into a calm wood park setting. It is like a world in paradise.

All of the staff I have encountered have always been courteous, friendly and helpful. That really matters. Great job!!

I would never recommend or not recommend based on one situation.

It's a great location with very good ammenities. The ability to paint and customize the space is a really great benefit too.

I don'??t like that I can'??t walk around outside without a shirt but I'??m not outside much anyway. I love peace and quiet and that'??s exactly what I have now.

No club house/fitness center. Rent is too high for the amenities offered.

Other complexes along Ray Rd and the area may offer newer apartment features and community ammenities for a comparable monthly rent,but the apartment sizes & layouts here are hard to find. The office and maintenance staff here are great and make all the difference.

I was disappointed with fallen tree from Dec storm took months to remove and trunk and roots still there. Emergency number that weekend to report the tree snow storm office told me no one monitors that line. So my question is why have an emergency line no one monitors very odd response Otherwise I do like my apt and office work orders are very good otherwise

I would recommend with a couple reservations that could be overcome potentially with a different building and a top level unit (windows, overhead noise and bugs).

I would recommend this apartment community to my friends and others because this community is a calm, clean and comfortable place to live in. I love how the landscaping is kept clean and beautiful looking at all times. The leasing and management team are very friendly.

Nice community and rooms are spacious. Could use more storage (storage shed). All in all I love my place and the staff is AWESOME!!!

The complex is quiet and clean. The neighbors are friendly.

Between the accommodating staff and the great apartment, I could not want more from a community. I stay relatively to myself, but know that should I need assistance with any issue the leasing staff and maintenance are always understanding and helpful!

I have not had any problems while living here. The staff is friendly and always ready to assist me in whatever I may need.

I feel the staff is genuinely concerned, the location, the quietness and I love the size of my home!

When I first moved in it was pretty mediocre. Outdated appliances, carpets, and the outside was falling apart. They spend 6 months remodeling all the exterior buildings which looks nicer. Rent on the other hand is quite expensive compared to other apartments in Raleigh. On top of the rent they typically charge an extra $60-80 for water, waste water, garbage and rent processing fees even if they take it directly from your checking account. The staff will say pretty much anything for you to rent with them. They have recently hired new people who are actually pretty helpful though. It's a quiet complex and doesn't offer much other than a little pool and a couple tennis courts. I spend around $850 a month, minus electric/gas, for a one bedroom that hasn't been redone like their other apartments. I would give the place a 3.5 if anything.
