The Highlands/Perkins neighborhood of Baton Rouge is located just south of downtown, nestled into the curves of the Mississippi River. A relatively upscale area, Highlands/Perkins offers a range of mid-rise apartments and single-family homes that showcase the best the Bayou State has to offer. A convenient location just across Interstate 10 from Downtown Baton Rouge means residents will always be close to the action. The neighborhood is also home to Louisiana State University, and there’s a welcome youthful energy courtesy of the campus and its students. There are diverse cuisines to explore including Cajun and Creole foods near the university and just off the interstate. Breweries have sprung up near the river and there are well-maintained parks to explore both near the water and closer to Downtown Baton Rouge.

Property Ratings at Latitude 30
Moved to Latitude at the beginning of the semester from Mississippi to attend Vet school. The office manager made my move very smooth and easy. She's nice . I had a few maintenance issues but they came right away to correct them. The property is very old so you can expect some issues to come with it but for the price and amenities offered I feel like this was the best bang for my buck. It's a decent place to live I would say .
Very nice staff, no issues. Environment peaceful. Would recommend to others. I finally found a place withno complaints.. Appreciate how the staff makes sure everything is great!
Moving here was the biggest mistake of my life. It's very clear that management couldn't care less about their tenants. There is a ongoing plumbing issue causing mold and they have yet to fix the issue. You have to constantly hound them to fix things in your apartment and it's rarely done in a timely fashion. The location isn't very charming at all. There are break-ins, loud tenants, dog poop, cars being vandalized, and dim lighting. My car has been broken into twice, but because the camera doesn't face towards one end of the parking lot there was nothing I could do except file a report with the police. Tigerland isn't the best place for a family or a woman living alone. Even with a gate that's supposed to protect you, it's always jammed or rigged open. These apartments are overpriced. This is the same dump it was when it was Courtyard Orleans, just with a face lift.
Property Manager at Latitude 30, Responded To This Review
It was certainly our please to meet with you to discuss your issues. It is unfortunate that from time to time communication issues arise. The management was under the impression you were satisfied with you apartment upon visiting with the manager on numerous occasions. We understand how important it is to read and understand your lease agreement and look forward to assisting you in the future. Thank you.
I absolutely love living over here. There's really any issues and if so management fixes it as soon as you tell them. The property manager is the best leasing management I've ever encountered. I wouldn't change a thing about Latitude 30.
Great property, the employees where very welcoming. I'm thinking about moving to Louisiana from Atlanta, and was recommended your property.I had a great walk threw with the property manager. Thanks Mrs. Johnson
I just moved in and I can't tell you how many things have gone wrong in this apartment. I wish I would have done a 6 month lease so I can get rid of the headache I have to deal with dealing with the constant appliances breakdowns, neighborhood, etc.
