Jerome has been absolutely amazing from the moment I met him, to moving in. When he first showed me the apartments he was attentive and you could see his genuine love for not only the apartment, but the people who lived here. Moving in was quick and easy. Even though I just moved in, I have settled in quickly and really love my space.

Management isn’t the best, they could have better attitudes and the gym equipment is down half the time

I've lived in several places throughout California for the past couple of decades. This is the first place I've lived where I felt 100% safe and comfortable and to where the entire team are actively involved towards improving our daily lives. As a native to Oakland, and after being gone for nearly 20 years, it's good to come home to a place that I am proud to call home. Bragging rights for the best rooftop in Downtown Oakland, without any doubt as I've toured them all.

1. I absolutely do NOT like the trash bins staying too long at the front of the building. Every time I come out in the morning, the first thing I see is a pile of trash and it smells too. And when i come back at night, sometimes the trash bins are still there. I want to invite guests over but I dont want to show them a bad aesthetic 2. When there's an emergency beyond work hours, no staff seems to be in the building. Should provide a 24/7 hotline

Toured apartments in the area as I’m waiting for a job offer and was completely impressed with Lantana! Was greeted with such warmth and knowledge by Cherry the property manager. this property is clean, new, and meets all my needs. I’ll be living here if I get the job as this place is the best in the area!!

The epicenter of upscale apartment living in Oakland! The staff at Lantana is professional especially the Property Manager Cherry. She is phenomenal and puts her blood, sweat and tears into this community. I would highly recommend living here!

Lantana's location is conveniently located with tons of nearby restaurants, bars, and grocery stores all in walking distance. Lantana is an amazing community, very dog-friendly and clean. The leasing staff and maintenance is exceptional. Although the parking might be challenging at first, it gets better with a few attempts. Overall, an excellent apartment complex to stay.

I haven’t had any real issues with my unit and my neighbors are super chill. Love the amenities. Overall no complaints

While the living experience is good thanks to a high building quality and very nice amenities, cleanliness and safety level, I can't recommend Uptown very highly because the staff is hard to reach for help and questions, and there is a high turnover rate so you're always talking to a different person and issues tend to be forgotten. The biggest issue is how many fees and costs are associated with living here, so while the rent may be advertised as one thing, you actually may be paying much more overall because the amenities and services add so many costs to the overall price. The noise level at this building is also high due to poor insulation on a busy street, so that must be factored in for anyone who is sensitive to it.

I’ve been here since April of 2021 and Iove it so much. The gym is so convenient, the maintenance requests(which aren’t very frequent at all) tend to be taken care of fairly quickly. The location is prime, within walking distance of so many things downtown/uptown. Rooftop is probably the highlight with great views and the occasional happy hour. Overall very happy with my stay.

I recently visited Lantana and was given a tour by Paulina. Paulina was great, she patiently answered all my questions and was very welcoming. The building has a great rooftop and gym, with great amenities. I would highly recommend.

I’ve lived at Lantana Uptown for 1.5 years now. I’ve really enjoyed my time here because of the great rooftop, gym, and cozy lounge area available. The staff here is great and they always throw fun events with free drinks for residents to join.

This is a great spot to live! Paulina gave a spectacular tour and really showed what this place has to offer.

Not to mention the great floor plans and amenities included. The view is spectacular as well, you really can’t beat it.

Lantana is an excellent place to to live! Staff coordinates tons of events to develop a sincere community bond!

This place seems like a great place to live, but please look elsewhere. Especially if you will be bringing a vehicle. One positive is that the maintenance staff has been accommodating and has always gone above and beyond to help out residents. This has not always been the case with leasing staff. I moved in 13 months ago, and the same issues I have had with the CityLift operated matrix persist. Management is always made aware, but the only resolution is to call the CityLift helpline which it may take up to a few hours either to get through to a dispatcher or get maintenance workers to come and fix the machine. Many of the residents and I have been late to personal engagements, work, etc because we could not get to our cars. We were told to park on the street due to repairs or uber until the matrix is back to operating. Even with all the issues, when I had an accident in the stall where I was literally on the parking stall as it was working, management adamantly refused to admit any liability. It cost about $5K to repair my car. I had to climb on top of my car to even get out of the dangerous structure, and one of the first things I was told by management as it would be safer to stay inside my car if this happened again, not that it wouldn't happen again or they would figure out a way to make the matrix safer. Had maintenance not run over to conduct an emergency stop on the machine, I could have lost my life or been seriously injured. The matrix was malfunctioning again, but management blamed us, the residents. I reached out to the corporate office to complain and contacted the regional manager, who scheduled an appointment to talk but missed it with no explanation or calls back. I posted on our online community board if anyone else had similar problems, and my post was deleted. Several other residents have damaged their cars, and management has refused to take responsibility. More has to be done on behalf of the management team, not residents, to remedy the issue, but that has not been acknowledged.

This community has everything. Rooftop views, a good sized gym and equipment and tons more. Let me not forget about the units themselves. I toured with Drea and she amazed me. If you're looking in the downtown Oakland area, you should definitely check this place out.

While the allure and initial excitement of a new community was enticing. After the first 3 months finding out my rent would be going up $600 was the first red flag. Take a hard look at the space to value ratio and consider that half the time amenities and parking (if you can get it after 9 months) could be broken. Also if you plan on being near anything besides a screaming loud brigade of fire trucks this isn’t for you. If you work remote are carless and are social enough to enjoy the roof parties, then this might be for you!

Tim has been great in being supportive and understanding in maintenance issues throughout our first month at Lantana. Being that our apartment was not wired for internet, it made it difficult as we work from home throughout the week. Tim worked with us and gave us space to air our frustrations in a supportive and empathetic way. Hes always maintained a friendly, welcoming demeanor with us. Thank you, Tim!

Ive been living here since November of 2020. The staff: Tim, Drea and Mac have been helpful.

The apartments are very nice. The building is beautiful and kind of cozy like. However there a few things that need to be improved upon. The parking is horrible. The garage is "supposedly" full yet you see empty spaces all the time. So you have to park a few blocks away in the city parking garage. There is a huge problem with ants in the building. The system that's used for your packages works when it wants. So for me these things make living here just okay.

The apartments are nice. The building is clean. The atmosphere is friendly. Major ants issue.

Lantana is a very nice community, with great amenities, the staff is super helpful and friendly. The building is always clean and so are the amenities.

I’ve been living for a couple months now and I have been loving every moment. Staff is amazing and location is perfect. San Fran is just a Bart away and downtown is literally a block away so you never miss out on anything. A few things I enjoy here is the community as well as the events that are planned from the staff. The manager tim is helpful as well as approachable with any issues you have. Love this place.

Lantana has been my home for 3 months now, and I’m loving it! Everything is brand new while still maintaining that homey feel. If you need a tour, definitely meet with Drea! I toured many places, and she was hands down the best. She tells it how it is and works with you to accommodate your needs, all while keeping a fun sense of humor. Plus, she’s from the Bay, so she gets how challenging finding a place to live is! If you need something done, Drea has your back. The maintenance crew is spot on too. Nikko is the lead and he is professional and personable. He has already helped me out a couple of times, and I know he is there if I need anything. Overall, this is a great new community that has a bright future. Snag a room while you can!

Lantana Uptown is state of the art. From the appliances to the dog grooming station. I love it!

I do not recommend living here. Too many problems that are not worth the stress and price tag! Security is poor. Had my car broken into while it was parked in the stacker in a garage.

I came to visit a friend at your building and I have to say it is one of the cleanest buildings I’ve ever visited in Oakland. Everyone was so friendly even with their masks on, which I appreciate because I am very nervous with the whole COVID-19 situation. And I saved the best for last, the rooftop is amazing. I was left speechless with the views and the cleanliness of the area. Love the succulents!

One of the easiest move in experiences that Ive had. Drea was very helpful and accommodating to my move in needs. When she wasnt in the office, Mac was available to help. Staff was very professional and helpful at all times. Lantana is nearby everything you would need. The unit is clean. Been over a month since Ive moved in and have not had any major issues. The only minor issue I have is the bathroom fan, it runs 24/7.
