Resting on the shores of Lake Erie, a few miles northeast of Cleveland, Mentor on the Lake is a peaceful waterfront community with lake house-like homes and cozy apartments. Mentor is similar to other American suburbs with safe neighborhoods and most amenities within walking distance or a short drive from one’s home. Mentor’s scenic, lakeside parks and close proximity to other natural areas sets the town apart from typical a suburbia. Mentor Beach Park doesn’t actually have sandy shores, but boasts a picturesque rocky shoreline and features a playground and soccer fields. The Carol H. Sweet Nature Center is great for family hikes and birdwatching. If you’d rather spend leisure time in the city or an easy commute, Mentor on the Lake is only 30 minutes from Cleveland.
