Boasting an eclectic local culture that combines the best elements of Midwestern personality and metropolitan sophistication, Minneapolis has built a solid reputation as one of the most interesting and exciting cities in the region, and indeed the entire nation. A vibrant urban center in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minneapolis enjoys well-earned attention for its stress-free atmosphere, great bicycling trails, and culturally diverse population. The city’s robust economy has deep roots, with numerous major companies having operated corporate headquarters in the city for decades (in some cases a century or more). In spite of being a major economic hub, the city is full of surprisingly affordable apartments, condos, and rental homes.
If you live in Downtown, getting around in winter is never a problem thanks to the skyway system.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Lake Harriet Commons
I lived here for many years. Only moved because I got married and combined families so bigger space was needed. It was a great experience. I was unsure about apartment living after having a house for several years. But the people who work there made me very comfortable. I made many friends and it was an awesome location. My kids loved it too.
Property Manager at Lake Harriet Commons, Responded To This Review
Thank you! I'm so glad we could be a nice home for you and your family. Congratulations on your marriage!
I've lived at Lake Harriet Commons for many years and I love it. The staff are super friendly and professional. The maintenance guy always remembers a treat for my dog and the manager couple is awesome. My apartment is cute and has so many closets. I can walk to either lake and to so many great places to eat and shop. There's a lot of green space and a parking lot that I appreciate in the winter. Nothing not to love about living here!
I lived at Lake Harriet Commons for several years. The apartments are very nice, clean, and tons of closet space. You cannot beat the location, especially at that price, an easy walk to Lake Harriet and there are a few city parks within blocks of the apartment buildings. The management was wonderful, they are friendly and took care of any problems that came up promptly. If I ever move back to Minneapolis, I wouldn't live anywhere else!
This is the absolute worst management I have ever experienced. They gave completely false advertisement. The entire place was dirty upon moving in. Nothing was even dusted, there was paint still on the walls from the previous renter, and it smelt like wet dog. The closest smelt like cigarette smoke in a nonsmoking apartment. The pipes in the stove had holes in them which caused a dangerous gas leak in our apartment. Needless to say it was also completely dirty underneath the stove with caked grease. Our fridge was literally duck taped together on the inside and when they sent someone to fix it, the person came a week and a half after our complaint of it. The person who came to fix it came unannounced, did not leave a note, and it turned out to be the husband of someone who worked for management.. aka a random stranger they gave the keys to our apartment to. DO NOT LIVE HERE! Please take my advise.
