Worst apartments I ever lived in. Rude management. Nothing gets fixed. Ac/heater was broken for months. Management tried walking into my apartment multiple times, UNLOCKING THE DOOR THEIR SELF WHILE IM HOME W/ MY KIDS. Infested with roaches, wasps, all kinds of bugs you can think of. Pay a pest control fee but nobody ever comes to spray the place of at least take down all the wasps nest! They add ridiculous fees. Trash piles up at dumpsters every week. The main office area is the nicest part of the complex, go look around. I can keep going on. Save your money do not live here.

Very unsafe neighborhood l. Roaches everywhere. Beware of mold ! Moved in and they didn't know who I was. My apartment wasn't even move in ready and I already paid for movers and uhaul. Was left to clean the apartment on my own. Trash overflowing the dumpster into the streets. The laundry room is beyond disgusting. Save you're money and protect your health and find anywhere but here. They only focus on making the front look nice drive through the entire apartments.

So we were looking for a one bedroom, preferably loft and they just so happened to have one available. When I say they gave us the run around ! Man they made us work hard for what we thought would be a great place to live. To start off, we were told our move in date would be on a Friday and that we could come no sooner than 4PM only to be called the day before and told as a matter of fact they would actually be leaving early that Friday due to Good Friday (which would have been fine if they would have given us more of a heads up to accommodate the schedule we had already set up with work). Friday after signing the lease they called to tell us we in fact would not be getting the keys due to water damage caused by a thunder storm (2 different stories were told about how this water damage happened). So, our move in date was moved to that following Monday, mind you we still have not been able to see the unit due to it being maintenanced (not even pictures because there are none in the website as of now). Monday comes and we look at the unit, we walk in and the unit is not done! Blinds still needed to be put up, there were building and flooring material throughout the unit, paint thrown across the kitchen cabinets and painted over walls that needed to be patched. The bathroom door which was new was without a door knob. The place was still pretty dirty as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the maintenance. AC was not hooked up / broken (never got clarification on that) and since it was 4PM the unit would not be ready to be moved in that day. We brought these issues up after seeing the apartment in which we were asked “so y’all are trying to move in today?” It is in fact the move in day… Over all, the truth I have gathered is that the unit was NOT ready on Monday so there’s no way it could have been ready that previous Friday. We called it all off and after a month of getting things ready to move in to our first place together we were very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and attention to even the basic details. I’m sure most people are just trying to do their jobs but with the lack of communication and mishandling of the situation I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Please consider my story when looking for a place to live and see the red flags for what they are. Now my boyfriend and I are back to square one in looking for a place to live. This complex has so much potential with the right management and office staff.

The apartments are a decent price, the maintenance team is good, and its in a decent area with some nature around. The management team is suspicious to say the least. They will nickel and dime you and throw whatever charge they can to get an extra buck. They charge $500 for having a dog off leash, but dont use that money to fix the one "dog park" in the huge complex that has been missing a latch on the gate for over a year. They atempted to slip in a higher rent rate at the signing of my lease and i had to be sure to correct them, and they reluctantly made the change. Now theyre still trying to charge me more money than is on my lease. Be prepared to make walks to the office once a month or so to discuss these issues with their suspicious management team.
I've lived here for a few years now, around 5 or 6. The original owners were much more personable and human. The new owners are increasing prices and requirements without actually doing anything for the property. The price you'll pay here is what you could get for a one bedroom in downtown san antonio. Do not stay here. All the reviews are from the time the previous owners were still in business. Oh yeah, btw, Ever since the new owners came here, I've been around for 2 car jackings, one of them a full on car theft.

The maintenance department is the the best. I think Tina Turner performed this song with La Silva maintenance crew in mind. When ever I have a problem maintenance is at my apartment right away. They always do a great job!!!!
I have been living at La Silva since August of 2018 and I love it. The staff Dallas and Katie are amazing and treat you like family. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. I truly believe that this is one of the BEST in San Antonio
Easy efficient move in No problems so far I love the spacious unit. Staff was very Helpful
Katiewas very personable and took care of all paperwork in a very timely manner. She explained everything very clearly. When an unexpected issue came up with the apartment I was to lease, I was contacted promptly and I felt management gave me an excellent counter offer which is turning out better for me altogether! There were was issues with the prep cleaning of the apartment but again, Management recognized and acknowledged it wasn’t the best and work orders were generated immediately. So far I am quite happy with my decision to choose La Silva!
Its under new management bur it does take a while to get things fixed. However, the staff is always pleasant.
Hello I do not recommend this apartment, I needed a temperory place for my parents while their new home is being built. And got the apartment s for them, from day one we had issues, maintenance team is not responsive, it takes them days to come out. As of right now my parents have not had Heat in over a week when the temperature below zero. My father is 75 years old and has caught a very bad flu. The bathroom roof in leaking and it's been 3 month I have made several calls and nothing. However Katie the receptionist in the front is very sweet and helpful but noone else
They allocate the water so us as a family of 4 we pay $160.00 a month for water!!! They take about three months to come and fix something as a simple fix. The apartment will never cool off or never heat up because of no installation or weatherstripping been without hot water 5 days!! never no parking, dog pop everywhere, $5 for a wash card washer and dryer’s work when want to And if you want Access to the gym you have to pay $50 for a key.
Do not move here they’ve fixed the exterior to look good at first glance its not until you’ve gotten your keys and living in your apartment for the first 30-45 days that you’ll realize they’re first concern is occupancy they don’t care if the unit is fit to live in they will paint over anything and say its made ready to move in new applicants have the lowest lease rates by the time you renew you’ll find your rent increase anywhere from $20-35. And they will harass you as well as your guest. By the way incase of emergencies call police because emergency maintenance is poor I witnessed my neighbors window be bust open late in the evening and it went un boarded for 2-3 days please save your money and your time and lease somewhere worth your money
DO NOT MOCE HERE!!! PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! These are by far THE WORST apartments i have ever lived in. My AC has been out since October 9, 2017. I have called the city 2 times already and each time they LIE to them and tell them it's fixed. They LIED to me straight in my face and told me it was working and when I told them is was blowing hot air they ARGUED me down saying it wasn't and when i go back in the office they tell me maintenance will talk to me and let me know when it will be fixed and guess what NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I had a water leak in my restroom for 2 WEEKS and they only fixed it because my restroom was flooded one morning. Now i have MOLD all in my restroom.. They will give you the runaround when it's time to show you YOUR apartment to move in to.. You will not see it until the day of... i have things in my apartment that STILL have not been since u moved here and it's been A YEAR... I asked for the corporate office to file a complaint and they claim they don't have one. I hope someone higher up sees this because these apartments are not good and the ladies in the front are very RUDE and show NO CONCERN AT ALL!!!!! People do not waste your mone
Move here if you like rude people in the office and no work orders to be done. Move here if you like loud neighbors, cars being broken into and vandalism, robbery and attacks on women. Move here if you want to drive to a WIPS location to pay rent and be charged $3.00 fee for the payment. So not only do you have to spend gas money but you also have to pay someone else to take your rent money! When the office is on the same property and they hide behind the fact that it is the owners decision!? BS!! Move here if your like dog poop all over the grounds, even on the side walk because the dog's owner is too ignorant to make the dog poop in the grass! Move here if you like MOLD in your bathroom vents and behind the shower walls that they just PAINT over! Move here if you like nasty laundry rooms that never get cleaned and your clothes are cleaner going in then coming out of the machines! Move here if you want to have to use a card for washing and drying but can only get money for the card when the office is open....which is usually while your at work! Move here if you like a dirty swimming pool with all kinds of huge nasty roaches, water bugs and leaves and dirt floating in it (this was on the first day it opened). Move here if you want a property manager that can only stay in the office until 4:30pm cause she has kids to pickup (get a babysitter)OR is it so she doesn't have to deal with all the BS on this property, to leave before the complaints that happen after people get off work? Hmmm......Move here if want a property manager that can't do anything about everything and blames everything on everybody else. Move here if you want to hear all about how things are done at a A or B rated property when you live in a D rated property! MORAL OF THE STORY...........DON'T MOVE HERE!
I've lived in this complex for 1 year now. Just renewed my lease. Management apparently has changed the rules, and the dish that I'd been using (installed by the previous tenant) was no longer allowed. Management cut my wires and disassembled my dish. They swore repeatedly that they did not, but this was witnessed by others in the complex. So I made other arrangements. A few weeks go by, and we receive a notice on our door that NO AT&T services are now allowed on property. I made arrangements for Spectrum to provide both internet and cable service, and set up the installation appointment, as we were given 48 hours. I am charged for early termination again, as I was under contract. I am also charged for installation of my new services. I come home last week to find that I have neither cable nor internet service at all. Spectrum attempts to troubleshoot, and determines that a technician needs to come out to investigate. Tech comes out, and discovers that my wires, once again, have been cut. He re-establishes service. I left a voicemail at the office. Property manager calls me back. Says wires were cut due to improper installation. I ask her: as a consumer, how would I know that the installation was done improperly? She argued with me, stating that Spectrum knows that they have to obtain approval prior to installation, and that THEY should have known to install properly. I was assured that the installation would be checked, I would receive a call back, and would be given 72 hours to remedy the situation if it was again installed improperly. I was told by DirecTV that the FCC has rules about denying me existing service. My next step will be to file a complaint on the federal level against this management company, as my rights are being denied due to new ownership/management. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. If it wouldn't ding my credit and rental history, I would break my lease in a heartbeat. I am stuck here for another year, but I will NOT renew my lease again. If I could give partial stars or negative ones, I would. Don't rent here. They don't care about their residents. The only up side to the complex is that we can pay our rent online. That is convenient. But otherwise... If I had it to do over, I would have never rented here. Big mistake... HUGE!!!
I have lived in many different apartments in my time and this one is by far the worst! My water heater has gone out multiple times in the six month span that I have lived here and I always submit a maintenance request as soon I discover it, it has been over a week since I have had hot water, and now when I try and contact the office to file a complaint and see when the maintenance guy is finally going to come out they never answer my phone call. Just curious to see if they would EVER answer I called the same line and hit option three "Emergency Maintenance" option I.E. a fire or flood in you apartment and still... no surprise my call got sent to voicemail, as if my apartment flooding was not a big enough tragedy to interrupt their lunch break. which the staff all takes at the same time in the middle of the day, closing the office for what seems like a three hour lunches everyday! Even when you do leave a message they will not return your call. I would not recommend this apartment complex to my worst enemy, it is the most unreliable, miserable place I have ever lived. I can't wait for my lease to be up!
The office staff are rude, maintenance takes forever to do anything. The cops are always around because someone's always getting robbed. They cover things up instead of actually fixing things and then blame the resident because something broke. They allow leaky pipes and then blame the resident for MOLD issues. Broken windows are replaced with plexiglass which isn't installed correctly allowing breezes into the apt. Wiring inside is faulty and dangerous! Management comes up with all of these "fees" that I'm pretty sure are illegal. Point is don't move here save yourself some trouble!!
Management is ridiculously stupid and come up with stupid excuses to charge you money and are not very understanding of your situation whatsoever. they will charge $100 for 1 day being late on rent!!! The staff and management have changed so many times since I moved in 2014. Didn't have any other reall problems other then management.
Initially during our application process up to our move in date I was concerned about moving into this property. But since the new manager and other staff members started working here I have been super happy with this property. I see the effort and communication of staff improving constantly. They are working on bettering the property and that is also noticeable. I'm glad we didn't back out of moving in here.
