Downtown Phoenix is home to some of Arizona's most important cultural institutions, entertainment centers and professional sports teams, so residents never need to go far to find fun. The dining scene is top notch, featuring an eclectic mix of over 100 restaurants to satisfy any appetite. Performance venues of every size host symphony orchestras, rock bands, comedy shows, and theater productions regularly. A variety of museums and the University of Arizona campus boost the area’s intellectual capital, and residents enjoy quick access to pro baseball and basketball games just down the street.
As a major commercial center, the neighborhood’s high rises house dozens of corporate offices, making it an ideal spot for urban professionals who want the ability to walk to work. The extensive sidewalk system makes it easy to walk anywhere, and green spaces like the lush Margaret T. Hance Park provide gorgeous oases in the desert sun.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Konrad
JC here, first of all, this apartment complex is, by far, the best apartment complex in Arizona. I have been here for almost two years and not one hiccup or negative event has occurred this whole time. Safe, beautiful, and luxurious. And that is just the apartment complex, however, the best part of this entire place is the staff. Everyone on this staff is absolutely amazing, caring, attentive, informed, diligent, quick to address any issue, meticulous, and literally, the nicest people in the world. The manner in which they care about their residents and the property is of top-notch, world-class caliber. If and when there is a problem, they take care of it immediately. They do everything in their power (within reason, of course) to ensure that everything is absolutely perfect for their residents. In turn, I am beyond thankful, appreciative, and grateful to have them. It is because of them that life is much easier in the craziness that exists in our world. Thank you so much!!!

Wow, JC-- thank you SO much for your kind words! Providing our amazing residents with Living Excellence is what we strive to do, and we are SO happy we are able to do this for you! We are so grateful to have you and all of our incredible residents here. If you ever need anything, please let us know. -Your Camden Copper Square Team
Buyer beware! Bait and switch! Almost $500 in fees not refunded when the apartment applied for was suddenly “not available.” Declined alternate apartment due to delayed move in date and different specifications. Refused to refund any portion of the application fee.
Property Manager at Konrad, Responded To This Review
Hi there, I'm sorry about all the confusion on the application process. Anyone that applies and is approved for our apartments can move in. Our application states that fees are only refundable upon denial. I am sorry for your frustration, we hope that you can find an apartment that fits your requirements. Feel free to reach out to us with any further questions.
I lived at Camden for the last year and had a relatively pleasant experience. They do have regular problems with the trash services not picking up trash you leave by the door, with parking garage closures and car break-ins, and with regular package misdeliveries and thefts (they have yet to install security cameras despite constant resident complaints). My apartment itself was nice. I felt like it was just worth the price point I was paying. When my time came to renew, however, they priced me out and then relisted my apartment at 150% of what I was paying monthly. They justify the increases by pointing to the market and the "renovations" they're undertaking, but it's quite clearly an exercise in squeezing units for all they can get. The renovations began as a result of Camden's interests, not the residents'. Residents asked for security cameras and were given unsolicited renovations and accompanying price hikes. Again, the apartment interiors are nice. The wider community has regular problems. With the recent price increases, I could not justify resigning at this property or recommending it to any family or friends. If you're looking to pay a bit too much for livable conditions, you've hit jackpot.

Thank you for your review and your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience at the community was not at a five star rating. We would love the opportunity to discuss your feedback further so that we can better assist future residents.
I truly did not like living here. The location seems great but the traffic is bad. Things in the apartment constantly broke down and were "fixed" just to break again. They were constantly doing construction or "upgrading" things that were just an inconvenience. They were unhelpful during the move-in process and we did not stay for long.
Been here for over a year and I have nothing but great things to say about the complex. Amazing staff and Special shoutout to Anuar! Whenever I put in a work order he is there to respond. He is quick, responsive and respectful. Get's the repairs done in a timely fashion.

Thank you for the wonderful review! We appreciate your feedback and agree that Anuar is amazing!
Camden Copper Square is the best and most affordable place to live in Downtown Phoenix. You’re also centrally located and just seconds away from all the major highways. A short walk to Chase Field or the Phoenix Suns Arena. The staff here is excellent and swiftly takes care of any issues. Anuar Hernandez provides amazing customer service and is a true professional. I enjoy being a Camden resident.

Thank you very much for your review, we sincerely do appreciate your thoroughness and commitment with Camden! We wish you luck with your future endeavors, and always know we will welcome you back home to Camden any time! Thank you, Natasha
Do not live here. There’s constant parking issues because they close the garages randomly and don’t provide residents an alternative even though they charge a monthly parking fee. The staff is completely inept and just plain rude.
Property Manager at Konrad, Responded To This Review
Hello, Thank you for providing your feedback. We shut down the parking structure for an emergency safety repair. Unfortunately, in an emergency situation we did what was best for everyone who parks in the structure to make the necessary repairs. We have sent out communication via email and personally delivered to all residents front doors each step of the way. We have personally reached out to many nearby businesses to accommodate our residents with parking along the way. We additionally rented out an entire parking structure for anyone to park when they cant find parking in the East garage on site. We are sorry this has affected you but please understand we are doing our best to accommodate everyone to ensure our parking garage is secure and safe for our residents and staff. Kindly, The Copper Square Team
We are mostly satisfied with Camden Copper Square and believe that the people working here are some of the most professional, courteous, and genuine people that you could encounter in an apartment setting. They work hard to make the environment feel like a community and it can certainly show. As far as location goes, it is important to consider that Copper Square represents that last suitable living are moving East on Van Buren. We have only experienced a couple homeless people wandering around the location, but have not had any negative experiences in terms of crime. For medical students at the U of A Phoenix and graduate students at ASU Downtown, the location is ideal. The listing on this website lists a volleyball court as an amenity, but it is important to note that the volleyball court is across the street in a public park and is poorly maintained. Additionally, the two pools listed have heaters that have not been replaced for months and staff has no idea of when they may be fixed. The water is ice cold and difficult to enjoy. We are overall happy with our choice and believe the location offers solid value, but if you do not need to be so close to Downtown Phoenix, there are options that are more reasonably priced with similar amenities.
Property Manager at Konrad, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We are happy to hear you are enjoying your home. I would like to research the website you mentioned , listing that we have a volleyball court and heated pools; I would like to ensure we contact them to remove this information. The pools in the community currently do not have heaters, however in the future they may be added. We do have a wonderful hot, Jacuzzi in the meantime. Please don't hesitate to contact us if there is anything you need.
Amazing place to live! We love it here! Amazing apartment with lots of great people!

Our experience at Camden was so poor that we opted to move out within 21 days. The best part about Camden was that they had a 30 day guarantee which allowed us to break the lease early, but they failed to mention there will be a $100 cleaning fee (they gave us a $20 credit off towards this), and all of the initial move in fees ($390) would not be refunded. The walls are very thin and you can hear every step from the people above you if you are on a 1st or 2nd floor. Everything from outside you could hear, including the motorcycle in the parking garage which would go off every morning at 5-5:30am. We have filed numerous noise complaints over 2 weeks and nothing was resolved forcing us to move. Its unfortunate that after all of this they still decided not to refund or return any portion of the move in fees even though we gave them a chance to try and resolve our issues. They claimed that all fees arent refundable therefore there is nothing further they would do to help us other than let us out early which was already established in Camden's Guarantee. It took us the full 14 days to get our rent check back minus the cleaning fee (our apartment was spotless). I wouldn't recommend Camden to anyone after our experience. I have strings of emails to management giving them every opportunity to resolve our issues and even make things right by a partial or full credit of our move in costs but they were unwilling to work with us. Its unfortunate I have to write this review. Just be aware before moving here.
Property Manager at Konrad, Responded To This Review
Hello Ariswann, We appreciate your feedback. It is unfortunate that you had a negative experience as our resident. We do strive to create an excellent living experience for all of our residents. When mediating noise concerns, it is a trial-and-error process to allow the individual(s) responsible time to remedy it. During the leasing process, it is explained that the application and administrative costs are non-refundable. Camden's 30 day customer satisfaction guarantee gave you the opportunity to void your original leasing contract and move without paying cancellation costs. We will take your feedback into consideration as we do strive to put customer service first. Enjoy your new home. -Camden Copper Square
Living at Camden copper square is great! We haven't had a single problem and they are always doing nice things like having coffee in the front lounge, or happy hours, and there is a large dvd selection that is available for rent to us. Those sorts of perks are really nice. Plus the location is awesome.
I absolutely love my loft style apartment! I have high ceilings, a beautiful staircase going to the second floor, and hard rood floors in the kitchen- bathroom area. The entire staff is awesome and they handle every situation quickly! My only complaint is the parking garage. I am on the third floor so everyday I go in circles to park on my floor. Really horrible wear and tear on my vehicles alignment. However, I don't see their being an alternative parking garage for this downtown location besides it being bigger some how.
I first moved in in June and it was awesome! Nice parking situation, granite counter tops, vaulted ceiling, door-trash pickup Sun-Thurs, it was great! Good location, staff is very helpful and the maintenance for in apartment requests is prompt. However, they are no longer accepting packages at the front office, as an Amazon Prime member who uses primarily online shopping instead of brick and mortar this is frustrating, Amazon Pantry, Subscription, etc. Sometimes the UPS or FedEx won't leave the package at the door if no one answers and if the office won't hold them it goes back to the distro center. Following this, a week or two back, I can only assume a drunk driver ran into our back gate causing a massive deformation and taking it off it's rails. That means we can no longer exit South and with all the one way roads in downtown is a massive inconvenience, I use it to leave for work, the gym and freeway access. It still hasn't been fixed and it appears to not be looked at. Advice for Mgt: Fix the gate and accept packages
Great location for college students, sepxidicst UofA med students looking to live downton yet away from the just and bustle of central ave.
Great complex - a gated facility close to everything! Staff are always friendly and willing to assist you, garage parking and great ammenities such as 2 pools, a gym, and a business center. I came to Phoenix for work and absolutely fell in love with the apartment!
