The Highlands/Perkins neighborhood of Baton Rouge is located just south of downtown, nestled into the curves of the Mississippi River. A relatively upscale area, Highlands/Perkins offers a range of mid-rise apartments and single-family homes that showcase the best the Bayou State has to offer. A convenient location just across Interstate 10 from Downtown Baton Rouge means residents will always be close to the action. Property Ratings at Kenilworth Ridge... A Hidden Jewel!
The apartment complex is very quiet and secluded despite the times the Lake Side Grill at the very beginning of the complex has big events. It floods kind of bad back there, in 2019 when it kind of flooded again the water was so high my mom couldn't get into her apartment for 3 days. The water didn't reach the apartment but the entire South Kennilworth parkway was under water from the beginning of lake side Grill until the apartment complex. Apartments are on the small side, and the water has a funky smell and doesn't stay hot long.
Kenilworth is a nice property in a great location! Super close to LSU and any stores you need, also only takes about 10 minutes to get to the mall. The apartments are on the small side but the grounds and apartment improvements make up for that. The manager and maintenance are very helpful and friendly; overall I really enjoy living here!
Great location & quiet, very close to stores & LSU campus. Management are very professional. In the rare event that something breaks, they fix it or replace it very quickly. Apartments are on the small side but big enough for single people or a couple. Grounds are landscaped & tended too regularly. Plenty of grassy areas & a small dog park. There is also a great bar a 5 minute walk away.
