Kelly Park Apartments

I've lived at Kelly Park for almost 7 years. There have been some ups and downs in regards to management and maintenance, but my experience has consistently gotten better in recent years. The current management and maintenance team do an awesome job. They are quick to respond and determined to fix all issues I've had. They communicate openly and honestly, and you can tell that they care about their tenants. I feel safe at Kelly Park. These apartments are quiet, clean, comfortable, and affordable.

I have lived at Kelly Park for 8 years, experienced the transition of several mgmt/maintenance teams, and the ups and downs of staffing shortages through COVID. Shalyce and the current team are great and have been making many changes to the things that weren't so great for a few years. Shalyce has been very helpful to me through a specific situation and genuinely cares of the people who live in this community. Rent prices have skyrocketed in this area and Kelly Park has done everything they can to NOT follow suit. I find it's the best price for the space and floor plan I can get anywhere else. I love the location, the people I have met in this community, and my home. Give this community a chance as they are transforming what took place under prior management!

I've lived here for almost four years now and am glad to stick around. Shalyce was especially helpful to me when I thought I was going to move but ended up staying and had to find another unit in the complex. Rental prices are crazy in OP and Kelly Park has consistently turned up to be the best value when I have shopped around over the years. I always feel safe here which is a big deal to me as a young woman.

Kelly Park has really gone downhill over the past year. Don’t bother trying to call for after-hours maintenance. Apparently they don’t care if there is a water leak and mold is growing. *update: Maintenance came by Monday morning and said they fixed the washer and it safe to run. Literally, during the first load of laundry, it floods our laundry room and guest bathroom. No response from after-hours maintenance. Not even an acknowledgment of receiving the call. **update: no communication from office on Tuesday morning, so I called the office myself. They said that they wouldn't be able to get anyone out until Friday to deal with the carpet that is still soaking wet. At this point, they are just asking for more mold to develop.

Truth be told, I have lived here for 7 years. I just signed another lease for a new floor plan and I couldn't be more stoked; this will be my 4th floor plan. I have lived in many apartments over the years prior to Kelly Park that range from Lenexa to Overland Park to the Plaza and back again, but Kelly Park stands out from the competition. The grounds are always kept clean, the amenities are stellar, the maintenance staff is responsive, and (last, but not least) the office staff is always ready and willing to take on anything you throw that them with regards to concerns or even just have a friendly conversation. The fact that I have been here for so long speaks volumes, as I have never stayed anywhere longer than a max of 2 years. Keep up the good work, Kelly Park! You're attentiveness to detail does not go unrecognized!

Whatever you do, do not rent these apartments! When we first moved in we were told in person that they did month to month leasing after your initial 12 month lease agreement (just like many other apartments in the area). Now that our lease is almost up we were told that was never the policy and because we were not told this in an email but rather in person they will not let us lease month to month. We now have to try to find a place to live for three months before we move out of state (so moving twice even though we were willing to pay hundreds more a month for a month to month option). I feel like we were tricked into renting from them. Also their maintenance is slow, I've been waiting for our fan to be fixed for weeks. They do not keep the grounds clean and do not empty pet waste stations on time. These apartments may seem like an affordable option but they get you on every little thing. Once again, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

We have lived at Kelly Park for a little under 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The maintenance staff, office staff and amenities are all fantastic. The apartments are spacious and high quality– with most having dual vanities (a very under appreciated amenity). Overall we have no complaints and would recommend Kelly Park to anyone.
