Framed by Interstate Highway 1 and the stunning blue Pacific shores, Ewa is a booming suburb of Honolulu. Property Ratings at Kapilina Beach Homes
The community is nice, facilities are great, and staff are wonderful. The home could have been better prepared for a move in. The first night we found the light out in the master bedroom, a broken washer, dishwasher that overflowed out its vent pipe, a free spinning hot water handle for the master shower, a tub faucet that wouldn't stop leaking, a broken bathroom vent fan, and the AC went out the third day. Vents were painted over while still dusty gluing the dust to the vent, and paint is peaking off the walls in many locations. Things are getting fixed and in good time, but we are still minus a washer 12 days now. Not as much of a turn key into our new to us home as we thought it was going to be.
Beautiful place to be and great beaches to be able to hangout at with friends and family. The houses have a lot of space and nice back yards.
I miss the Community newsletter. It was informative & had reminders for events and the regulations. There are a lot of renters violating the rules about parking on the sidewalk, having dogs that are not registered, cars that are unregistered, messy outdoor areas, noisy parties and loud music. Compliance needs to be enforced for all.
Amenities are great as long as it’s working. The neighborhood is getting a little crazy but I’m glad I have great neighbors so far. The rental lease I’m locked into is reasonable. I’m not looking forward to the renewal lease as I’ve read some horror stories.

Don't let the fancy amenities and the people in the leasing office fool you. I've lived in a double wide trailer that was nicer than these houses. The houses are OLD! In the year that we lived there, I had to request over 40 repairs. They're also infested with termites. The maintenance team has ZERO communication, you schedule a repair, and they just show up without letting you know. The houses have no insulation, so you can hear everything going on outside. The utilities are ridiculous. Our cheapest electric bill for the year we lived here was just under $400, and that was without using A/C. I know some people that had bills topping $1,000 which is insane. There is a lot of theft that happens in this neighborhood. We had two bikes stolen of our fenced in porch within the first two weeks of living here. Yeah, it's nice living a couple blocks from the beach. It's too bad that the beach is littered with trash that people leave behind and is never cleaned up. Overall, this place is a joke. Not only would I not recommend this place, I'd recommend EVERYONE live anywhere BUT here.

The overall community is well maintained and has many opportunities and amenities available for residents. Communication and unit maintenance are biggest concerns.

We love it??it’s an amazing community for our family…the gated community, the beach, the gym omg just everything about this place we ??especially the elementary school which is on site & the school bus comes to pick the older kids & take them to school how wonderful is that…we also get to see the navy ships & submarines come in & out of the area my little 1 was mesmerized by that the look on his face was priceless…my husband is like a big baby…

It's very good. The house is clean, spacious, and has lots of storage space. Bugs get in and there are some minor issues that I've reported, but they don't come to fix yet. But we can live here and are very happy. There's a partially enclosed lanai and a large lawn in the back, which creates an open atmosphere and is great for letting children play. The surroundings are great. Being able to walk to the park, pool, gym, ocean, and elementary school is the best environment for people without a car.

The maintenance crew here is top-notch. I've only needed them once in the year I've been here. They arrive prepared with the tools and parts to do the job and resolve issues as quickly as possible.

The amenities and location are great. The housing itself is hit or miss. We love our unit and neighbors. The management is not great bc of parent company. Maintenance is difficult to get ahold of but our unit was newer so we haven’t had much issue but we hear about it from our neighbors. It’s an Ewa beach home. Flys, lizards, and ants are part of the deal. We continue to live here because the pros outweigh the cons

The community events are great. The staff is nice and professional I’ve rarely had a problem there. I think you pay for the amenities here because the homes are outdated and need constant repairs. They are over priced and many residents complain about the utilities. If you have kids there are some issues with other kids in the neighborhood with fighting, I’ve been in the military 15 years, first time my kids had this problem. Overall I’d give it a 5 out of 10.

Such a beautiful place to live. Amenities are kept up and staff is always friendly and quick to respond to requests. I love how peaceful and quiet it is. Wish the NEX could be available to all residents, even if just certain hours. Would be much nicer to be able to get gas and quick items without leaving. Dlish is good but wish there were more grab and go options and that their pool hours weren’t hit and miss.

Great quaint Community, neighbors just go about their business. With the exception of the Air Force Raptors, love the quiet environment. Only wish NAVFAC Environmental would lift the restrictions on Fishing; one of the reason I moved here. Love the convenience of the Mini Mart and the abundance of fruit trees.

Like all of my reviews, comments & testimonies, they will always be of love and light. Kapilina definitely brings forth the bright side of me, this place makes me happy…this place makes me feel blessed in more ways than one. Our neighbors have been a blessing (we all look out for each other). We have beautiful mango trees in the back of our yard, beautiful plumeria trees all around us, and almost everyday, we have such good airflow and breeze. This place is a gathering place for my family and my in-laws alike. I’ve recommended a friend of mine to move into our community here at Kapilina, and she did! With no hesitation, she moved. She moved because of all of the wonderful things I’ve shared with her about this place we call home, and now she made it hers. Herself, her fiance, and their two sons moved in recently, and have been enjoying every great thing that Kapilina has to offer. We look forward to spending more wonderful years here.

Very nice place. Love the community events held here and just feels safe to live here. Staff is nice and welcoming and amenities are nice and clean.

Community is great and everything is kept clean. A few amenities did not work properly and shouldve been inspected more thoroughly, but overall it's been a great experience.

I just love living here everything is close by don’t have to travel far everything around u the schools shopping center parks beach it’s just so convenient

Excellant location. A gated community, wonderful place for kids with a little water park. Wonderful place for dogs with 2 dog parks, Pool, work out gym. Love it here.

Love it here. A place where my entire family can enjoy in safety and comfort. Including my furry family! It’s a place where I can come home to and enjoy the amenities Kapalina has to offer! I go to the gym to work out, later I swim in the pool and relax in the jacuzzi!

The amenities make living here worth it but don’t trust the photos online are what you actually get. Very dog friendly but they do have a rodent problem here. So if you can’t handle that, noise of planes and chickens then don’t move here.

All you need in one community. Wonderful amenities, unique homes, beautiful scenery, and very friendly staff. Try the wonderful cafe, partake in the holiday festivities, and enjoy weekly Wednesday market.

Kapilina used to be well worth the additional fees due to the amenities received. Unfortunately, Kapilinas community standards have decreased while price has increased. Luckily, this is easily reversible with the right management.

Quiet and Has everything you can imagine in a secure gated place. I feel safe and i can walk my dog and take my kids without having to worry about anything.
