Just getting used to this area. I'm glad to be close to all the stores. Absolutely love my huge walk in closet. There are too many cats in the area though. Still have to get settled in. Every day feels better.

Convenient community close to shopping mall. Many activities for the residents. Close to local schools for our kids to attend and the local beach is right down the road!
My move in process/experience was wonderful. Shout out to the whole staff, especially Keely. They were patient, informative and very flexible with me and all my last minute questions and changes. I'm excited to be able to be a part of the commmunity!

Kalaeloa gym facilities are clean and maintained. Spacious setup to move around. A room to do stretches or other types of exercises. Gym equipment is suitable to get a good workout.

Rent is more than advertised, moved into a dirty apartment, office sent cleaning crew a week after move in and it’s still dirty. Only one internet option and charged immediately for it even though the equipment isn’t sent until a week later

The units and layouts are very nice making it feel like a safe environment. But the communication is very poor between resident and leasing office.

It’s been getting worse and worse in the community. Less and less safe. Neighbors have told us about seeing people with guns. We’ve heard gun shots in the community. Lots of illegal fireworks near our own unit as well. Someone stole a car from the guest stalls, broke into a car and just recently someone shot BBs at a car in our area, shattering the back window. On top of that, there’s been a lot of neighbors smoking cigarettes and other things. Parking has continuously been a nightmare with cars parking outside of the gates now. Overall it just doesn’t feel safe outside our own front door.

This community is convenient as it is along the bus line and has many shopping outlets and stores nearby. It has a gym, pool, dog park, and many amenities for the tenants of this community to enjoy. Would recommend it to others!

I really am not satisfied with this apartment. The apartment gets soo hot in the afternoon because the walls are made of brick and it traps the heat. The AC is also not very strong. I have it on all afternoon and it won’t drop below 77 degrees. There is also a huge chicken population on the property and they crow all day long, especially in the early mornings. We have a few neighbors in our backyard that put their dogs outside and they bark all day long, nonstop. One time they even left the dog out over night and I didn’t sleep at all! There needs to be a better policy about keeping dogs inside who bark late at night.

The living u it is perfect for a family of 2-3 people. It’s easy to maintain, staff is very friendly and helpful. The convenience of living near the shopping mall, grocery stores, access to freeway easily. Having a fitness center and swimming pool area is a plus. You have to see it to love it.

I had the pleasure of working with Dawn and she made my entire move in process smooth and stress free. She was very kind and knowledgeable that I had also referred my friends who are looking for a place to make an appointment with her. Dawn also continues to help me even after I moved in with any questions or concerns that I have. Maintenance is also better then any place I've stayed before. Within a day or two my maintanance issues are resolved. I can see myself living here for a very long time.

I've lived at Kalaeloa Rental Homes for almost 3 years. With all the storage and backyard, it is hard to live in another apartment anywhere. Location is great, close to popular beaches as well.

The viewing and application process was smooth and easy. I came in office asked for availability and Keely took me right away to view the open units. She also knew all the answers to my questions and walked me through the application process. I applied and within hours she called back and told me I’m approved. Came in on a Friday and was in my unit by that next Tuesday. Mahalo for the smooth fast transition into our new home.

Stress-free! Neighborhood is lovely and near alot places to eat and shop. Alot of community activities and amenities to interact with. Staff is amazing too! .

Staff is amazing, wish the payment portal and reward apps were intuitive to figure out. Amenities are ok, unless you’re in the older buildings close to the main office, it’s kind if inconvenient to travel to. Having at least a resident gym in each community would be amazing.

Makai is a nice place to rent out. It's affordable, comfy, and quite spacious given the overall floor space (for each level).

So much quieter than Honolulu. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Residents aren't cramed together like sardines. The homes are roomy and well maintained.

Love the location, how spacious the homes are, the amenities are nice they have multiple parks, a pool, a gym, dog park , and I also love how quickly the maintenance teams come to repair any work orders around the home.

I like our apartment. The rules are great! It's quite here. Our neighbors are okay. If there is a maintenance problem, they are on it. The workout room is great.

There’s things that still needed to be repaired that we had listed and never gotten done. It’s pretty pricey with the utilities, but overall I mean it’s still a nice convenient place the layout and everything is great.

dogs still bark like crazy after many times telling the manager, people here that own dogs are irresponsible. Maintenance crew is good though and goes on site fast

If you enjoy space and a quiet neighborhood, this is the place. Plenty street parking, and that real nice. Close to shopping and freeway. Glad I moved here. And Costco Down the street.

Really nice community. Apartments have plenty of storage. Nice new amenities. Apartments are very large on the inside and have at least 2 parking spots.
