Moved in while the first floor was being constructed, overall nice community and no complaints on the apartment itself but the walls are so THIN. I could hear my neighbors every time they turned the TV on or were on the phone. Pray you have respectful neighbors if you move in.

It’s a very close knit community. As in, you will hear everything, and I mean everything, going on in your neighbors apartment and outside. When there is a party in the club house, you’ll also get an invite, well at least to listen to them from your apartment. Off leash dogs will even run up and greet you and if not you are bound to step in their poop. Such a close knit community!

My family and I have resided at Judson Mills Lofts for almost 18 months having renewed our lease. And we plan to renew it once again. The physical plant is beautiful and maintained well. The safety features are a definite plus. The amenities such as the game room, conference rooms, and a great public kitchen are better than any other apartment complex I have experienced. And best of all is a responsive and caring staff who are sensitive to making the apartment complex a community.

The management is brutal claimed I had vehicles blocking parking spaces when I wasn’t even there! I have dash cam footage of being some where else at the exact time management claimed I was blocking spaces! False accusation on my file that never should’ve been! Steer clear of this “community”.

This is an excellent facility and has earned a five star rating, It is beautifully repuposed piece of history on an equally beautiful campus which is gated and secure which is very important to me. The apartments are efficiently designed so no space is wasted. Same with the interior of the building. The amenities are wonderful...great gym, beautiful pool, a bocce court, full kitchen and great work rooms if you have remote work you have to do occassionally. All this is tied together by a responsive staff who are friendly, professional and competent. Most of all they are efficient. I have never had to wait more than a few hours for someone to respond to my calls even the one call I made at 1 AM. I know this is my opinion and others may differ but just so you know, I mean what I say, I just renewed my lease for a 15 month term

The hands on / hands off approach of the building is greatly appreciated. The staff is very cordial, informed, and seem to be as excited for you to be a tenant, as you are to be a resident. The history of the building lends itself to the history of Greenville, the use of this 100 plus year old building, previously used as a textile mill; and the resurgence of the city, allows you to celebrate the newness of Greenville while paying homage to its history, simultaneously.

Judson Mills is a great place to live. I am returning to apartment living after owning homes for the past decade (or two), and I really feel like this is a home, but with the benefits of having on-site maintenance to handle any issues! Beautiful space, gorgeous views through the huge windows in my apartment. Great opportunities to mix and meet with other residents. I moved here from Florida, and cannot think of a better way to get my new start in Greenville, SC.

The amenities are nice, the community isn't nearly as friendly as when I first moved in. You hear EVERYTHING from the halls and neighbors. Mail and any kind of food delivery is a nightmare. Also in not even a year I've noticed paint chipping on my door, cabinet corners and edges are peeling/warping, grout was missing when I spots when I moved in. I don't think it's worth what they're now charging considering a lot of what I was told was "coming soon" hasn't been done.

A great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile, are very helpful to any needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The workout rooms are open 24//7 are rarely crowded and the pool area is lovely. I love the convenience of the elevator and gated parking. Everyone in the neighborhood is friendly when passing and it truly feels like a community.

I’ve lived here for about 5 months now, and the cons are really starting to outweigh the pros. PROS: -Proximity to downtown is good. Aesthetics in the units are modern, mixed with the original industrial build from the mill, and it looks great. -Amenities like the exercise room, pool, coffee machine, common spaces, etc. are good. The internet is through AT&T and it’s fiber-optic, so it’s really fast. -Leasing agents are usually helpful & friendly, but availability is limited. CONS: -Paper-thin walls. The construction is visibly rushed & therefore shoddy in a few places within the units. Nowhere is it more visible that corners have been cut than with the walls. Conversations in adjacent units are audible -- sometimes even word-for-word. I’ve never had that happen in any apartment I’ve lived in before. -Dogs. The place is dog-friendly -- But there is such a thing as being TOO dog-friendly. There are no restrictions on the type of dogs allowed, and that's a problem. This place is not designed for large or high-energy dogs. It's all metal & concrete, there's not enough space for them in the units, and hardly any green space for them to run around in. Thus -- the barking is incessant, really loud, and feels like it's coming from everywhere because it echoes through the hallway. It's disruptive, it's a nuisance, and it's really too late for management to address it in any effective way. -Suspicious activities. Many times when I come home late at night from work, there’s someone sitting in the parking lot in a souped-up Camaro or Challenger of some sort just lurking there. It’s really odd and can make you feel uncomfortable walking home to your unit from the lot. We often have someone from the Sheriff’s Department in their vehicle parked outside the gate too. Hard to imagine these aren’t related. Another reviewer on apartments.com mentions in a recent review how an employee of the complex was mugged at gunpoint in early-March…I’m not sure if that’s true, but it wouldn’t surprise me, because the neighborhood around the complex is not the best. Add to that – The hallways more often than not smell of marijuana. That’s fine in a collegiate apartment – Not fine if you’re a parent or professional. All-in-all: It’s not really worth what you pay for rent every month. I would not recommend it.

I would highly recommend staying away from Judson Mill Lofts! The grounds are not safe, and the tenets the leasing team allows in is part of the problem. Halls smell of illegal substances and evenings have lots of questionable activities. Staff does nothing about it. The fit and finish of the apartment is extremally poor. Worst quality we have ever lived in, really pay attention if you tour. Nothing is straight, nothing lines up, nothing is nice. Its easy to get blinded by the large space and lofts but look for the little details. The baseboards, hinges, ways the doors close, etc. If you dont like noise that should be another reason to stay away. Dogs barking everywhere and the walls are paper thin, not to mention the outside grounds are riddled with Dog poop. The Hallways and common areas are always fitly. We had to bring this up multiple times before the staff started to clean up. And still its gross. When and If you tour look on the floors of the hallways. You will see dust bunny everywhere. The AC (heating and cooling) is horrible. Always to Cold or Two hot, freeing concrete floors dont help. Also prepare for an insufficient water heater and to always run out of hot water. The worst part is when you attempt to leave the apartment and try terminating the lease due to the many safety concerns since we have a newborn. Ridiculous fines. The staff lacks judgement or understanding and cares only for the companies profits then the comfort, safety and well being of the tenants.

There are pros and cons to living in apartments. The pro is that the maintenance workers are extremely quick and kind people. Unfortunately, there are more cons here that we wish we realized before we moved in. The construction is very low quality. You don’t even need to look close, everything is peeling and coming off/undone. Nails sticking out of the ceiling. The floors upstairs were sealed before they were swept so dirt is trapped in the wood. The walls are paper thin, we can hear our neighbors walking down the stairs. The downstairs concrete is extremely cold (which is expected) but also has giant cracks and it is unsafe for young children. The mailroom is a joke. We don’t get notifications that our packages have arrived and when they do we have to search every single on because nothing is in order. The gates don’t work half the time. There is smoking in shared spaces and we were unable to use our balcony due to this. There is also smoking in apartments which you can smell while walking through the halls. This place is a good fit if you are single, there is a nightclub opening up and eventually, they will have a bar as well. But this is not the place for a family. If you take a shower, there will not be enough water for the next person so you must take quick showers to ensure you have enough hot water. Although we have gotten emails regarding the dog waste left in the grass patches, it continues to happen. The halls are riddled with dog fur. The list goes on and on. There is questionable activities occurring on the property and a staff member was held up at gun point a few weeks back. We expressed our concerns and our need to move out due to the safety we feel is not there but they did not care for our concern and are still charging us for leaving.

Judson mill has made the move in process a breeze! I also can’t speak highly enough of the staff! Excited for Judson Mill to be finished bc at this time it is currently under construction and not the easiest on the eyes.
