Jones Berkeley

I think Jones Berkeley is a wonderful place to live. The management is available and ready if needed. They repair things very quickly and overall it’s a nice community.

The apartment is great and the infrastructure as well. I adore everybody. Every time there is anything in the apartment, we open a request and people come and solve it really quick.

Convenient location! Walkable to Whole Foods, Tokyo Fish Market, Peet’s coffee,shops & cafes. Nice neighborhood with beautiful flowers. Maintenance team is always quick to response and get all fixes done within 24hr. The manager team is caring and host community activities throughout the year. Dog and kid friendly! Feeling being treated equal, loved, cared for no matter what.

Living at Jones has been wonderful so far. Amazing Pet community and my family feels safe. Wish we had some sort of a game( pool table) at the lounge. But everything else is 1st class.

Quiet, friendly people. Very new and clean building. Dog friendly and walkable. Beautiful views from the roof particularly on clear days overlooking the entire bay.

Great building with very attentive maintenance and management team. Can barely hear neighbors and a beautiful rooftop shared space. Only downside is the cost, but it's pretty on-par for the bay area.

So far everything has been great. Anything that we need Hannah is super helpful on supporting us. The building is very high tech which allows us to submit work orders through an app.

The location is very inconvenient and the bus is often late or cancelled. The ventilation is so bad and you can smell people smoke every week. The staff communication service is bad and they appeared nice at the beginning but later they turned their face and poor communication between them. They like to change their policies a lot and the facilities in the room are always subject to repaired. Not recommended for the premium price at all.

I lived here for almost two years, from 2021-2022. The Good: - Great view from the roof deck. - Soundproofing is good for noise from outside and from other apartments. - Kitchen is really nice with great storage and island, spacious fridge. - Secure package locker is very useful. The Bad: - Ventilation system is awful and the management has no interest in addressing this problem. You will smell everything your neighbors cook/burn. A few months before I moved out, I acquired a neighbor who smoked weed daily so my apartment constantly reeked of weed. I contacted management about this several times and their response was "Gosh so sorry you have to deal with that, nothing we can do..." That's not an acceptable answer, particularly at this price point. - Don't expect to get much of your security deposit back, even if you leave the apartment in pristine condition. Greystar charges everyone for routine apartment turnover maintenance like shampooing the carpets, and spot-painting the walls.

We are very lucky to have found Jones Berkeley when we were looking for an apartment after we sold our house. It has been a very positive experience that has helped with the stress of moving!

JB is located on the Berkeley/Albany/El Cerrito border. There’s plenty of things to do that are easily accessible by foot or car. I Love living here. It’s places for My kids. I feel safe. Grocery shopping is easy. The rooftop view is spectacular. Thank U Universe and Greystar for this opportunity ????

Experience is great living there. But an increase in rent for the bmr tenants is horrible. Im a bmr tenant and the increase is a bit much.

This place is clean and the location is convenient. Managements are extremely friendly.

Great staff, modern rooms, awesome amenities, easy accessibility to different parts of the building, well maintained, with a sense of security.

Overall it's a nice place. Rooftop view is awesome. Assistants to property manager are friendly & easily approachable. The neighborhood is great but you have to be extremely careful when crossing the street. Parking for BMR residents should be free. Amenities that property covers are great!

Everything and everyone is amazing here!! Ive been through a lot recently and this location and move have been a breeze transitioning into. The leasing staff, electrician, maintenance technician are so kind, professional and amazing in everything!! Such a fresh of breath air for me after all Ive been through recently. We have lived in Berkeley for many years and were ready for a new home. The building design and aesthetic qualities of apartments are engaging and drew us in. Although more expensive than our previous home, the amenities, cleanliness, accessibility and the overall leasing/management team's welcoming support made our decision to move much easier. We have not regretted the change.
