Property Ratings at Ivy Park Apartments
Reported water damage in my bedroom on 8/4/25 and as of 8/15/25 repair is not completed and no indication of when repair is to occurs. Damage included water saturated carpet, sheetrock, tape, and other debris still present. Linens and other fabrics full of debris. Apartment Office indicated repair was completed on 8/7/25. Only repair was to vacuum water and place a blower for carpet. Pressed office that damage was still present and had gotten worse. Inspected and found to still be a little wet. Holes drilled into ceiling to increase drying. Brought in a dehumidifier and two blowers. I've been sleeping in my recliner since 8/4/25 as the machines are quite loud and emit warm air. I have taken off 4 days from work in order to be present for repair. All 4 repair dates resulted in no attention and rescheduling. My electricity bill will be significantly higher due to the constant run of machines. I've lost 4 days of work which is significant to my income. Not to mention the serious inconveniences experienced and waiting for repair. Apartment complex very rarely answers phone. Email and calls to the apartment owners in New Orleans LA have not been returned. Next week I travel for work, but I plan to visit the owners of this apartment complex located in New Orleans, LA when I return and lodge an in person series of complaints provided this is a real office, or just space. As an aside, parking sucks and you might get threatened by another attendant for parking at a different building. Perfect strangers also love to sit on your patio, in your chairs and hold loud conversations after midnight very often.

We also brought in equipment and a vendor to dry the area and began sheetrock repairs as soon as the space was ready. We understand how inconvenient this has been and regret that it affected your comfort at home. The location is good. I was looking for a place to call home until I get another home. I thought this place would be nice and a decent place until moving in. These apartments are cheaply built. Sounds like horses live above me. My Utility bill is very high averaging $178.00- 182.00, and was informed the cheap windows with worn striping, the front door, and little insulation in the apartment , thin walls, it will only get higher to keep comfortable this is what happens with buildings cheaply thrown together. I didn’t realize how filthy the place was until I moved in. The windows in and outside were filthy. The front door filthy. Inside door frames, baseboards were filthy. Carpet looked ok until I steamed cleaned it was nasty looked like creek dirt water. When we took the panel to the air conditioning off. ( I have pictures and videos) It was so filthy and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the place was built. Management will tell you one thing and change their story. Cabinets and drawers are falling apart. I had a friend fix some. I put an order in for maintenance and they were prompt. Parking is horrible. I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable nice place to live.

I I contacted them 2 weeks ago by phone and scheduled a visit for today at 10 am. I said i was looking for an apartment to move on October when i will moving move to Baton Rouge. I got there today, the person who was supposed to receive me was not there, the person who was there didn't know I was going to visit the condo, nobody was ready to receive me, the computer system that checked the released apartments was not working. Ah just to make it worse, I was with my pregnant wife. If visiting the place is like this, imagine if you are living there and need to solve some problem. Terrible staff.
I had to make an emergency move in mid May. MY SON HAS Autism and it is not easy to find a place where i feel that it is safe to live. This place is updated, spacious and a safe environment for my son, The gym and pool are very useful in helping us find activities within the complex to do. It is a nice community
I have lived at Ivy Park Apartments for over 2 years now. I have had two different apartments. I have enjoyed living here. I never have any problems. The office is always very helpful and anytime I need something done maintenance is quick to get it fixed. The apartments are up to date and are kept Iin good condition. The grounds are always landscaped and kept clean. The complex is quiet and no trouble is ever encountered.
