Known for its towering office buildings and vibrant cultural scene, Downtown is one of the most successfully revitalized areas in Minneapolis. With its central urban location, Downtown draws an intriguing mix of residents looking to live in the middle of the action.
Driving through Downtown, you might be surprised at the lack of people on the streets, but don't be fooled -- the buildings link together by a unique system of skyways that enable residents to walk comfortably, even during the legendary Minneapolis winters. During the warmer months, residents of Downtown enjoy living within walking distance of entertainment centers such as Target Field and the Nicollet Mall. Bordered by the historic Mill District, Downtown East, North Loop and the Mississippi River, the neighborhood offers quick access to the city's most lively neighborhoods.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Ironclad Residential
If you are sensitive to noise, don’t live facing Washington Ave. The ambulances and fire trucks and overall car noise from trucks and loud motorcycles is just awful. It never ended. You’ll hear a siren drive by at least 2-3 times per hour. No amount of fans or noise makers could help me sleep. I dealt with it for a year and got out and feel compelled to warn people. I had a friend who faced the other way and said they heard the light rail bell chiming constantly, so maybe there’s no escaping it. The inside of the building is super quiet, but man those windows were thin.
Location, location, location! Great to be so close to US Bank Stadium as well as the train line. Across the street from Trader Joe's? Can't be beat. The building makes it very easy to get on and off the highway - downtown living without the downtown fuss. The quality of the build has shown itself - I have never heard a neighbor to the side or above me. Having the option to park in the covered garage or in heated underground at different prices has been a great option. The amenity deck was vacation-worthy last summer, I am anxiously awaiting warmer weather to enjoy the sunshine and the pool again. The staff is helpful and friendly. They are led by an incredible building manager: Jessie. She is considerate, efficient and so obviously cares about her job and the tenants. I have been so impressed with her work ethic! An apartment may be luxurious but without great management it isn't worth the frustration. Fear not at Ironclad! Jessie has you covered.
