Though the city is highly populated, the suburban feel makes this city feel like home.

Property Ratings at Independence Plaza Apartment Homes
Manager Korina is terrific and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect during the length of your lease.
It has been a nightmare living here.. If you rent a lower unit beware you will not be able to sleep or enjoy your afternoon. It sounds like they are stomping upstairs on purpose, but its not the people its the cheap flooring. When you complain to the manager they say its normal. Also be aware of the area there are always police outside the complex almost everyday, weirdos outside that somehow get inside and also don't place any items on your patio if you don't want them taken. The place seemed good at first but a nightmare after day one.....Beware!!!!!! Save your money, find a better, safer and quieter place.
I rate it 5-stars because, on top of well maintained pool, walkways and green spaces, Karina and management are quick to respond to my requests. It is NOT an impersonal team; it feels more like family. Same with maintenance - I very happy here. I have a unit that literally feels like I'm living in a secluded cabin and that privacy is optimal for me. That said, there are families here, and when I bring friends, or am alone, they are polite when we cross paths or meet at the pool, barbeque, laundry. The complex is generally quiet, the parking lots are safe. Every day I come home to a sense of "an oasis" in the middle of Canoga Park. After I moved in, many neighbors introduced themselves. Very friendly atmosphere. The pet friendly grounds are well kept and there is nothing like an early morning swim followed by the jacuzzi. I use the gym daily - no complaints at all from this renter.
It's an ok place.. not worth the rent they are charging..unless tou r on the first floor.but maintaince is nice and they do work fast..
Nice place to live for the young, lots of kids. This place not for the older generation. Your stuck in your apartment with the blinds shut because of the apartment design . You open your living room window to the next buildings patio and their big patio siding door. No Privacy at all.
Living here has been a good experience. I live on the 3rd floor bottom apartment. Under our apartment is the 2 level parking garage. I don't hear any noise at all other than the apartment above us. I've yet to find an apartment that can isolate that upper apartment noise. I am still searching though! I have easy access to the laundry unit which is separate from the apartment itself. I like that we are a gated community. That's a big plus for my family. These units are a lot quieter than the normal apartment. So the sound proofing is well done. Other than that I think I would recommend this apartment to a friend of family member.
