Huntington Pointe Apartments

Terrible place to live. Had roaches in my apartment and it took them a month to come and spray. I have to stay on them as I still have them everywhere. I don't even stay here. I stay with my girlfriend it's so bad!

We were moving here from out of state. I read the reviews and thought that we should research another apartment. I contacted the office and spoke with Sara and asked about the reviews. She explained to my satisfaction that you can not please everyone. We completed the application and we wereapproved approximately 48 hrs. Sara was fantastic as she walked me thru how to pay my deposit and wish us safe travel. When arrive to sign our lease she was helpful and friendly and helped with FedEx to delivery my furniture directly to our apt door. I love apt has cozy and inviting. I love my patio in the morning as all I need to do is get a rug and some plants. The only downfall is I wish there was more storage space. For price it is worth taking a tour of the complex. Do not be afraid of the reviews just call and speak with Sara.

Never can get ahold of management,office is always closed, needs more maintenance, haven’t had a mailbox an was told that was my problem

It is a really great place to live, they keep the property maintained, they get to your maintenance request as soon as they can; they work with you if you need it. There’s never any issues and it’s close to everything!

I have been living here for a year to go to Texas tech nursing school and it has worked fairly well. It’s close to everything you need and can easily make it your own. Would definitely recommend for those in college or just starting to get out on your own :)

I have only lived here for a few months but I am loving it! It is affordable, everyone in the front office are always nice and helpful, and the balcony is big enough for my porch swing!

I have completely loved my stay at Huntington Pointe. Very clean and professional. When I moved in they told me they were undergoing new management and I can tell they are working hard on making changes already! They have had lots of landscaping done here recently and It looks wayyyy better! I feel like it is a very safe and well-lit area at night time which is very important to me. Mainenance makes sure to always come in a short period of time after I put in a request. Also I LOVE my apartment because it is very spacious and has a washer and dryer, while being the best price in Amarillo. Overall I'm super happy here!!

This is my second year living here, and they have been absolutely great to us! Very quiet, and everyone is so friendly. They’re making a lot of adjustments to the property, and it’s making it feel so much more homely.

I came to Huntington Pointe in an absolute panicked emergency, and they got me an apartment in 3 days. They were fast acting, helpful, and comforting. I couldn’t be happier with my beautiful, spacious apartment.

Huntington Pointe Apartments is a clean and well-organized facility. I do wish we had a separate and accessible location for packages, which can only be accessed during working hours from staff.

Good clean place to live apartments sizes are great and well worth the price asking. office staff are very welcoming and professional at all times. They Respond to emails right away. Maintenance grew fixes everything within 24/hrs or less Huntington pointe is one of the best places in Amarillo

Love the new apartment everything was an easy flow moving in and applying to get in as well. There are no big complaints anything that we needed was assured and fixed and they made it a fast and easy process to get us moved in right away. This is a great area and has many things around.

It’s hard to find a temporary place to call home and truly feel comfortable. Overall I love my apartment. I don’t have much contact with the office but any issues I’ve had maintenance has taken care of. No place Is perfect so it’s nice that they put the effort in to make the process easy.

I have lived in these apartments for about 4 months now, and I love it! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the apartments are clean and there wasn’t any issues when I moved in. They always go through with their promises, and they are very good at communicating with you when you have questions. I will absolutely be staying here for a while, and I will forever be recommending these to friends and family!

I just moved in last month, it’s my very first place on my own, they made everything so easy and smooth. Management is super sweet and maintenance is very helpful! Glad I chose Huntington pointe!! Definitely recommend!

Office ladies are really nice and helpful, only thing is that the maintenance takes too long to help you. I have not had AC in 2 weeks although they said the already fixed it. But it is a calm complex

Management and staff are very helpful, though sometimes fluctuating hours and absences from the office can make communication difficult. When I first moved in, my apartment had been damaged by the big freeze. Those repairs were never fully completed, which led to further damage along the line. I've had minimal issue with pests and the property is kept fairly clean. Generally the area is quite peaceful as well. Overall, not a bad place to settle down for a while.

Ive been living here for five years, when I first moved in the apartments werent perfect but they were great for a first time renter. Each year it has gotten worse and worse, Ive only ever been able to use the pool during the first year, the 4 years after its been incredibly dirty or closed. The grounds are filthy, trash, weeds, dead grass, the common areas have layers of dirt and grime horribly filthy. The maintenance doesnt fix things in a timely manor or properly the first time they often just rig it until it breaks again. You get charged for multiple things like packing fee when packages arent even allowed to be delivered here for over a year now, anytime you need pest control you can request multiple times and no one will ever show. Its truly sad because I honestly didnt see myself moving from these apartments for many years but the rise in crime, the deterioration of the grounds and inside are starting pushing me to look elsewhere. The things that would seriously improve this complex really arent that hard to achieve youd think they would want it to look nice and presentable and would want to please their customers. Its sad watching this place fall apart.

The apartment was not cleaned when I first arrived and there were many issues with the apartments fixtures. The bathroom sinks knobs would leak when turned on, there was a small nail sticking up out of the carpet in the bedroom, the laundry door would pop off the track when attempting to shut/open, the light fixture randomly fell off the ceiling nearly hitting my cat. Ive only been here a few weeks and Im still waiting to find out what else is wrong with the place.

This community is a good place to live but youre most likely going to get your car broken into, no matter where you park.

I think it could be improved if the staff responded and communicated in a timely fashion. That was beyond frustrating during the move in experience. Also, the apartment I chose did not match the description on the site. The unit I applied for on the website had vinyl flooring and no washer/dryer. Only to find the apartment was carpeted and had a washer and dryer. Also, on move in day it was hard to get anyone to communicate with me in a timely manner. I know Im not the only tenant but a simple email or call isnt too much to ask. Especially when per your policy I was forced to put in notice at my current residence. Equally frustrating is through the month process I asked numerous times to view the unit but I was told it wasnt ready.. So, I had to view it on move in date, and even then, it still was NOT move in ready. Lastly, my apartment was NOT move in ready. In fact I cut myself on broken glass that was left in the apartment. The front door would not even shut at all! The ceiling fan was missing a globe. There was a part of the ceiling in the living room ceiling that was obviously water damaged that had not been taken care of. The toilet needed to be fixed and there was water leaking from the bathroom into a bedroom.

We love staying at Huntington Pointe apartments. The staffs are very friendly and easy to communicate with. They try to keep this environment clean and friendly. It's just a beautiful place overall.

I am very pleased with the way maintenance responded to my service requests. I am also happy that the office people also respond quickly to my emails.

Great place to live. I am really amazed how pleasant and peaceful it is around here. Fellow residents are friendly and so respectful. When I am caring bags in someone always ask if I need help.

I have lived in another apartment in amarillo but Huntington pointe is definitely the best! The staff is friendly, the maintenance was quick and very nice and professional and I love our apartment! I wouldn't reccomend any other apartments in amarillo.

This place does not care for their residents! The apartments are not well kept. Stairs are filthy and need to be power washed which might help with all the flys and ants. Grounds have trash in walkways and flower beds, which are weeds and dirt with a few flower bushes. Pool has light fixtures hanging out of the inside of pool and paint peeled off as if it hasn't been up and running for a while. When you see the back side of the apartments it seems like they put certain type of people in the back and have not kept sections up. FYI to whom it may concern please reevaluate the people that clean and maintenance the property. Don't be fooled by a few pictures angled the right way to make apartments look nice, ran have a lot of water damage and cracks.

You guys rock and Ive had nothing but good experiences here so far.

So in my 6 months at Huntington, they did not answer 1 single phone call, they never fixed my dishwasher from day 1, if you pay for a covered parking, they won't tow people away that park in your spot, but will still charge you for the covered parking. The pool was open 1 month in those 6 months. In my 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, i somehow had to pay 268 dollars for an electric bill in December when I paid only 125 bucks tops all 5 months prior. When I went to tell them that I wasn't renewing my lease they said, "we are sorry, but you have to give us 60 days notice to end your lease." That wasnt a problem that I had to stay 21 extra days in that place, because it was my fault for not being timely, but they gave me a prorated rent for those 21 days, but had upcharged my rent soo much that I actually paid MORE money than i had paid in the previous months. There are better apartments out there I promise you.

I must first start off by saying that the office was always very helpful and professional, and the maintenance staff constantly tried to do their best. They are not to blame for my bad experiences. The problem is they are trying to breathe life into a place that seemingly just wants to die. The place has all of the problems that you would expect a 35 year old building to have. Trying to keep a place as old as this and with as many problems as they have going is like trying to brush your teeth while eating an Oreo cookie. Having said that, I have lived in many apartments through the years, and this place is far and away the worst experience I have ever had. From the time I moved in until a few weeks before I left, I would come in and find the laundry room flooded. As it turns out, the plumbing in my apartment, nor my washer, was the problem, but rather, an apartment upstairs. In December, my apartment and the apartment next door were flooded from an apartment above us, most likely due to pipes bursting and the cold weather. My bedroom and living room were partially flooded. I also doubt that this place is insulated very well - if at all - because my electric bill was over $240. The last two months I was there, I rarely used the heat. Whenever it rained heavily, the ceiling would leak by the fireplace, and I had to set out a bucket to catch the rainwater. This brings me to the last few months I was there, and the mice trouble. I came home on several occasions, and found mice running through my apartment. When I checked behind the oven, there literally was a Tom & Jerry mouse hole....like the ones you see on the cartoon. I constantly found evidence of mice, and even set out traps. The absolute nastiest moment though was on the last day I moved out, I discovered a dead mouse underneath one of my area rugs. If it would let me post the picture, I would do that so you can see I'm not lying. This place is falling apart, is the nastiest, most gross place I have ever lived, and you get the feeling that the upper management - not the staff in the office or on the premises, who are great - but the upper management don't care about anything but the bottom line. That's no way to keep people there, especially for the price they charge. Save yourself the trouble, and seek a place to live elsewhere.

This apartment complex is the worse place I have ever lived. In moving here be prepared to have nothing fixed. They will take forever on work calls and when they do get to it, it is patch work. Right now our water bill is high because they keep filling and "maintaining" the pools while the pools are closed. Also we are charged for pest control and they ask us to notify them if we want our apartments sprayed even though we already paid for it. Whatever they quote you, add $100 more to that in "additional costs".

Be sure to cross your t's and dot your i's because they are now charging 25$ to every single petty mistake that is made. They charge me monthly for pest control but there's ants everywhere! Other tenants have said the same thing. I eventually had to spray myself. The garbage disposal doesn't work, same with the dish washer and the AC goes out on a daily basis. Sometimes it's hotter in here than it is outside. Not to mention the price of this place is a little high for its old age. Management is a little rude at times. I thought the location was safe at first, but my car ended up getting broken into and my stuff was stolen. I found out that the apartments don't have cameras. So in conclusion, it's old and falling apart with a high price tag.

This place has really turned around in the past year. The office is always welcoming, and the maintenance may take a few days to do work orders, but they always get it taken care of. I hate that we have to pay a Pest Control fee monthly, but it's great that they spray every month. The pools are finally opened and remodeled and they look great. The outdoor fitness center that is under construction is going to be great, since it's very convenient. I give this property a thumbs up.

These apartments are the worst apartments I have ever lived in. Maintenance requests take forever to complete and when you call the office, your call is rarely answered and it takes forever for them to call you back. When they do finally call and you try to talk to them, they act like dealing with anything other than taking your money is such an inconvenience. There are always extra charges for "pest control" and things like that. I have never in my time living here seen them come spray for anything. They say they do it on the outside but I have never seen them doing that either. The layout of these apartments is ideal but the management is awful. I have had a few friends who lived here for a short while as I was signing my lease and told me not to sign. I wish I would have listened. Do not rent here.

This is by far the worst apartment I have ever stayed in. They take forever to fix things and then get huffy when you call them because you have had to put in the same maintenance request in multiple times. Rent is never even remotely consistent. Do not live here!!!!

This complex has gone down the tube since I moved in three years ago. Maintenance is slow, the staff is of no help and they will nickel and dime you at every turn. They cancelled their contract with the gym a month after I signed a new lease. The buildings are falling apart, the parking lot is a legitimate danger to vehicles and last month they credited my rent check to the wrong unit and charged me a late fee. I wish I hadn't renewed my lease. If me writing this stops even one person from moving in here, at least I'll feel some sense of justice.

This is the worst appartment I have ever lived in. The management is rude and the quality of product isn't what is paid. The water is leaking in the walls, cellings, and floors. Nothing is ever fixed. They never spray for bugs. Would not recommend renting here. You can buy a home for the cost of what you pay in the repairs you do yourself.

I loved my apartment when me and my boyfriend first moved in, until our a/c went out and our apartment was 92 degrees. While outside it was 100. But they fixed it a week later! Our apartment complex is nice and quiet. We have a pool and a good sized home!

So far, I have really enjoyed talking with Jana at this property. She has been very helpful with my relocation to Amarillo. Also, this website has made it easy to review the different properties and what they have to offer to a tenant. This property has everything that I need in an apt.
