Edmonds is a small suburban city located fifteen miles north of Seattle on the shore of Puget Sound. While the community serves as home base for many Seattle-area commuters, Edmonds’ thriving Downtown district near the waterfront hosts a huge and diverse mix of businesses. The dining scene incorporates regional favorites like fresh seafood and eclectic international fare, and numerous coffeehouses and neighborhood taverns serve as popular hangouts, largely clustered around the intersection of Main Street and 5th Avenue.
The community values the arts, with numerous downtown galleries and the annual Edmonds Arts Festival and Edmonds Jazz Connection showcasing the area’s creative side. The location is a nature lover’s dream: the Cascade Mountains are practically in your backyard, and ferry service across the sound to Kingston allows you to easily take a day trip to the Olympic Peninsula and explore the stunning Olympic National Park.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Horizon Park Apartments
Horizon Park is a nightmare. I could write a book on the deteriorating state of the units (mold, cockroaches, ancient barely working appliances), the horrifying parking issues, the loud rude neighbors, the crime element, the owner who obviously does not care about anything other than getting his money... but I will just leave it at this. DO NOT MOVE HERE. You will end up regretting it, I promise you.
Really not recommended to live in that apartment coz I can't even sleep well from the noisy sound from the broken light in my room wall and I ask them to fix it many time, ask and ask Maney month already but no one come to fix. I will move out soon
The building is an old 4 unit design. All units are 2 BR 1 bath about 750 sf with 2 parking spaces. The lower unit I live in has a very outdated kitchen and bathroom in need of replacement. The Kitchen features orange linoleum flooring and very old press board cabinets with varying levels of major water damage. the refrigerator is old and small. All of the windows are old dual pane aluminum windows that leak, sweat and do not operate smoothly. The one good feature is there is a hookup for a stack washer/dryer in the hall closet. All sound from people and electronics in the unit next door and above transmits loudly. You get to know your neighbors very closely because of this. I only stay because it is cheaper than most and close to my kids school.
