What a GEMMM!! This place is amazing - private, thoughtful and well kept. I was looking for a community to join and this is IT by far. Nikki the property manager really did it for me!! Not only is the place BEAUTIFUL but she is truly one of a kind. They don't make them like her or this place anymore. You'd be lucky to live here.

My fiancé and I sent an email through apartments.com to show our interest in Horace Heidts and, to be honest, we didn't expect to hear back from them. To our surprise, the property manager, Nikki, was very quick to offer us a tour! We ended up loving what we saw and moving in to a junior studio (which is very spacious and even has a sliding door divider for the bedroom). Nikki helped us through the whole process and was very attentive and helpful when I needed to ask her questions about the moving process or clarifications on the lease. My partner and I didn’t think we would be able to find a place this safe and resort-like within our budget, but we are so pleased with what we found at Horace Heidts!

Went to check out this place because I noticed two units became available in that week. The receptionist, if that’s what she was, said they had no units available. After stating the fact that the units just became available she stated that there’s a waitlist, when asked how many people were on the waitlist she didn’t know and said the leasing agent or manager weren’t there to give this information (this is during business hours). She was rude and dismissive with general questioning as if renting out to us was already not an option when she first laid eyes on us. She couldn’t handle the questions stood up with a very rude tone, rolled her eyes and said she was going to get the manager (thought “no one was there”). Manager comes with food in her mouth speaking and food spitting out of her mouth, close by us, disgusting, unprofessional and very inappropriate! We asked her some similar questions as we did the receptionist and she didn’t know the answers. I added a question about utilities because on the website it is highly advertised that all utilities were covered and she didn’t know and even asked the receptionist (the manager asking the receptionist). Come to find out per an email sent to this link that she is not the same manager responding to emails regarding the units. This place is disorganized and displaying FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!

As you walk through the front gates of Horace Heidt Estates on Magnolia Blvd. in Sherman Oaks you’ll experience for yourself the lush and sprawling landscape displaying the gorgeous flora and fauna. As you continue down the road you will see the indigenous bird sanctuary, trickling waterfalls, assure pools and volcanic formations. It doesn’t stop there; walk further along the path and you will make your way to the very popular Breakfast Club where the residents of this little town congregate to share a morning cup of coffee, a story or two and a bagel. The residents of this fine establishment are the beating heart and soul of the community. There you may run into the owner of this wonderful establishment where he often goes to socialize with the residents. If you don’t find him there continue your stroll to the golf course where you may find him on one of the fairways of the back nine working on improving his short game. If you have the opportunity to meet the owner you will invariably learn more about the history of this amazing place. Don’t be surprised if he offers more than just a friendly hello. You will receive a warm welcome as if you were a long lost friend. The probability of an extended tour is inevitable. You will find yourself walking and talking to the man who was born here and spent most of his life developing and improving this property. A tour of the ranch, the museum and grounds are likely. Three topics he is passionate about is music, politics and the surrounding community in which he is deeply involved. Also expect his recommendations on local eateries. So, until we meet again. If you are looking for a great place to live, I highly recommend Horace Heidt Estates. Besides being voted the Best Apartment Community for over 10 years, the Management and Maintenance staff here are friendly, considerate and exceptionally efficient at what they do. Any repairs and maintenance issues are resolved and dealt with promptly. Freeways are close by and Ralph’s Fresh Fare, Fashion Square Mall, Trader Joe’s and the Sherman Oaks War Memorial Park are right around the corner. I am not aware of any other apartment complex in the Valley that offers so much amenities as Horace Heidt Estates! So, stop by and check it out! You won’t be disappointed!

The Horace Heidt Estates is a unique peaceful place to live. The waterfalls, the golf course, tennis court, gym, spa makes you feel like you live in a resort & always on vacation. The place is very well maintained & the staff is very friendly.

I have been coming to Horace Heidt Estates for years! Not only is this property gorgeous and unique, it is also home to a vivacious community! The events thrown here are top notch! I can't wait until the pandemic is over so I can attend their next Labor Day Luau! The staff is always so kind! Don't miss out on this one of a kind spot!

Been living here for 20 yrs...Wouldn't live anywhere else...Very Quiet, Nice people and great staff to help if anything needs attention....Four Swimming pools, Golf Course, Gym and even a Tennis Court...What's not to like?...Check it out You'll be glad you did....

My Mom lives there and she absolutely loves the atmosphere and people she lives with. The office staff is friendly and the maintenance crew is on the spot whenever you call. It is close to everything that she needs and when you drive into the property you are "transported" into a beautiful Hawaiian village with waterfalls, pools, a golf course, and workout facilities. A lovely place all around......
